New BC Suspension Install

Ah ok, I see them now. So how did you go about getting the spring rates and all you needed - just contacted them? I'm also curious about your rear strut mounts - are those the hard rubber ones because they don't necessarily look like it?
They're not rubber. Full pillow-ball. :)
On BC's website it says the rears have a "hard rubber upper mount". I'm just trying to find a good set of coilovers that won't run me $2000 into the ground like the AWRs.
I've been told that their website hasn't been updated in a while, but yes, when you order them let them know what spring rates you'd like. PM me and I'll get you some contact information.

Which model are these? the newer BR series?
Yes, these are the new BR series.

that's not a bad idea. i should also probably swap the stock front sway bar back in, too. I had the front struts set to full soft, and the rears to 10 clicks from full soft during the afternoon. Idiot me forgot to check them in the morning. During the first runs one side was full soft, the other full stiff...

tire pressures were 40F/35R

I think I'm going to raise ride height so it's even with the rear.

you sure you're not running too much pressure too? I thought r's worked better around the 30-35 range. We're not even running that much in the bridgestones, and you've got WAY more sidewall stiffness than we do. We run 34-37 range.

We'll see at the next event. I think part of the issue may also be from a previous "run-in" with a curb. The front right tire would rub on the inside edge when the wheel was at full lock. I'll need to try to avoid that.

sitting in a box in the garage. I got an e-mail back from TEIN saying it'd be $75 per damper to get them rebuilt. So, i'll be selling them after that.

I read you had Ksports before. How do they compare to your current setup? Are they as stiff as the Ksports? Maybe I'm getting old or the streets are getting worse but I'm not enjoying the ride as much as I used to. Three of my four struts have leaked or are leaking so I'm not sure if I want to keep them anymore.

The spring rates on the BC are stiffer than the K-sports, but are sooo much smoother. The K-sports were under damped, so they felt bouncy. The BC are correctly damped for the spring rates. Like I've said, the ride is firm, but smooth.

hmm there kinda slacked? u not trying to sell em now?
The endlink tab on the front right snapped off, so I have to get that repaired also. I want to get them rebuilt because they have been on the car for 3.5 years, been autocrossed for 2 seasons, and have nearly 100,000 miles on them.

How much did these cost and where did you buy them? I was thinking the front would have higher spring rate then the rear? If get these this will likely be last suspension upgrade=)

How is the reliablity of the Teins??

Rogue, so before you installed the BC Suspension Coilovers you had a set of Teins in there. How was the reliablity on those as well as the handling of the P5 on the street? I saw in one of your posts that you put nearly 100,000 miles on those coilovers??

I only had 2 issues with them reliability wise. One was user error. I didn't tighten the top nut enough and it worked itself loose, eventually causing it to snap off. The 2nd issue was the end-link tab on the front that snapped off.

They felt good on the street. No major complaints really.

Been looking at these and JIC A1's......i get skeptical cause ive never heard of these. But ive heard nothing but good things on the other hand when they are mentioned.....these still holding up nicely since the install? The K-sports im rockin suck ass, and there all blown....blah. I need a new set-up badly and im having a hard time choosing.

I've replaced 3 struts on my Ksports but I bought them used. I'm going to see how they hold up this year, if they go south I'm really looking into these BC's.

TurfBurn is one of the few people I know that ran the JIC coilovers and he wasn't overly impressed with the build quality. I'm nearly 100% sold on the BC Coilovers for next season.
