New 2006 Speed6

Cross posting a few forums, but I'm so happy... I just picked it up tonight, and I love it. After lurking in the forums and learning, then posting and asking questions and learning some more, I finally found the right one. Or rather my car broker found it in New Jersey, bought it last Wednesday, and tonight we completed the sale. (yippy)

It has a brand new set of Falken 452s in 225/45/18, and had the clutch fix done under warantee at a Mazda dealer in Jersey, along with a new oil pan, and a few other recalls and updates. I haven't done anything else to it yet, but the previous owner apparently did! I got a little surprise in the form of red lighting in the wheelwells! lol... it actually looks like he did a good job installing them, and I think I'll leave them on, but I will install a switch to turn them off most of the time.

OJ B, congrats again man. I should be picking mine up today, I know exactly how excited you feel. I'm actually getting mine in jersey as well, are you around the area?

The red lights in the wheels look very subtle in those pics, is that how it is in person too? Not my thing, but looks kinda cool.

Thanks 06MSsix! I'm actually in Toronto, Ontario, but I had a broker looking for me in the US. There are VERY few white ones up here, and not many down there even.

The lights are fairly subtle, but still noticable enough that when I remembered they were there at a stoplight I felt a bit self conscious. I want this car to be a sleeper, so I want to be able to switch the lights off. It looks a little brighter than that in person, I just didn't have time (or a tripod) to take a proper night pic.

Good luck picking yours up!!! I notice I'm being a little hard on the clutch, and probably over revving in 1st, because I'm getting a little bit of that bad almost burning smell, so I have to learn to take it easy. Watch out for that on yours! ;)

yeah the clutch in the ms6 is a little different the most of the cars I've driven. it almost seems softer or something, I dont know. I gotta say though, that burnt clutch smell is the worst, even worse then burnt break pads.

Some new pics, thought I'd post here too... Got to do some experimenting with my brother's pro camera equipment over the weekend, so here are a few pics on the road, and of the new interior LEDs. I really like the ones I got, but I should have a few more coming to test in the next week or two, and I'll make sure to post which ones worked the best.

Those road pics look awesome, I'm jealous, i need to get mine detailed, and you have a moonroof ... I was debating putting one in mine, but the aftermarket ones never seem to last long, and leakage just doesnt do it for me.

Thanks man! You know what... I almost got one without the moonroof, and I was about 60/40 for it vs. the weight savings and fewer potential problems in going plain roof. I'm happy with it now, but if it does go wrong, I'll be cursing it and wishing I went for the plain roof.
