my razr is in pieces on my nightstand. yay for spare nokias laying around the house!

w00t I am getting my motor mounts replaced... hesitation/buckling of motor was the symptom. Quite annoying, making it difficult to drive the car smoothly. Parts will be in Friday, so probably replace things on Monday.

I wonder if your first week of driving the car had anything to do with that??? :)
haha, it actually got progressively worse as I owned the car. I complained at about 20-25K when I first began noticing it, but they didn't believe me.

Thats the third person this week that broke their razr.... wtf is with that (huh)

Well, I love my razr. I must be the lucky one. No issues at all, works perfect.

phew, just spend like 4-5 hours detailing the car, and still not done!

Started by washing the car, then claying it (which was a pain somewhat because the car was out in the sun)... for some reason the claying step took me forever. Then pulled the car into the garage for a drying.

Then busted out the buffer to buff out some scratches. Shined a bright light at the door and foudn more scratches to buff out.

Finally, applied Jeff's Werkstatt Prime Strong. Buffing it out took a while.

Then I was going to follow up with three coats of Zaino Z-5 Pro, but I will have to postpone that for tomorrow. So I'm expecting to spend at least another 2 hours tomorrow, more like 3.

Just spent all day in Boston. Had a concert in Fanieul Hall, walked around a bit, and then went to the Red Sox game. AWESOME GAME!!! It had everything. Back to back homers, double plays, stolen bases, injuries, rain delay, you name it. and we won!!!

Heh, my weekend was full of car work as well. Saturday removed rims, cleaned, used PC with SSR 2.5 to buff inside of wheel. Then applied Poor Boy's Wheel Sealant. At the same time I added another coat of my custom red flake paint to the calipers. Also got rid of the front brake squeal, both in my 8 and the Jeep. Also cleaned, waxed Jeep rims. The rest of Saturday I spent in the heated pool and BBQ with Dan and friends.

Sunday Dan came over to work on his ride. Washed car. Painted front calipers. Attached my custom MP3 style wind splitter that I painted black. Replaced ladder bar that had a run in with a dead animal on the highway. Was not a pretty picture. GT-Spec ladder installed. Mazda 6 wiper mod. Tried to add more shine to the hood but there simply is no clearcoat to work with.

Just got done doing Zaino Z-5 Pro x 3... I also took off some old pieces of clear bra (that weren't necessary anymore due to the front mudflaps), removed the ugly WPI parking sticker from one window and a Mazda "tag" sticker from another, cleaned the inside and outside of the windows. Did a pass with Zaino Z-6 over the car before Z-5 Pro, but had no energy to use Z-6 in between the layers of wax. Cleaned the wheels, but looks like some need claying now, as there are several bits of tar stuck on to them. Shined the tires with Poorboy's Natural Look. Used Zaino Z-10 Leather conditioner on the steering wheel and the shifter. Dusted the interior--was too tired to give it a full cleaning.

Josh, definitely a full wekeend there. What did you do to get rid of the brake squeal on the 8? Did using SSR 2.5 on the inside of the wheels transfer some silver paint to the pad?

Simple brake spray cleaner. Worked like a charm.

Yea, I was sweating bullets on Sat in the garage. The Poor Boy's Leather Stuff worked great in my car and the Jeep. Love the scent.
