NEMOC Random BS Thread

lol, a better weight savings would be for me to lose a few lbs.

Morning all. Still stinking hot here and the storms have been fast and brutal. High winds and dumping lots of water in short time. Getting tired of this weather. Suppose to be in the 70's finally tomorrow.

haha...same here bruce! yes, the weather, brutally hot...with no garage any longer hard to work on the car in this heat. got my back up valve so hopefully i can get this installed this weekend as the heat is supposed to subside here as well...have a great fri all!

haha....hey just stand around outside for an hour or two....that should net a couple pounds lost.

Another hot one today and tomorrow we have a 100% chance of t-storms. I can be sure about that as my sis-in-law's surprise 30th is tomorrow and it's outdoors.

Howdy! I'm back home and trolling to make sure you kids are behaving in here! As always it's been great to see a few of you over the racing season. Definitely looking forward to another great season ender at LRP! (And luckily Fez found us another house to stay in since our usual digs on the mountain are still under re-construction)

Nice to hear you are back home Lauri. And great of Fez to find another place. One less thing for you guys to worry about. No do i crash the lrp party this year.....

Ugh...working in the kitchen today from 2-8. Its a wedding reception with 50 guests?!

We had a huge storm go through Friday late afternoon. Buckets of water but luckily no damage. We were without power for 8 hours, glad we have a generator and batteries in the rig.

Great to see you back Lauri. Hope you are doing better. Great news about the house.

Trip #2 completed with the REPU and camper. Took the duo up through Franconia notch to Twin Mountain area. Cruising at 60-65 mph wasn't an issue in 90 degree heat. 70+ introduced some sway, especially when surrounded by other trucks. The climb through the notch put the cooling system to the test. Once the RPMs dropped below 3,000 (50 mph) I lost quite a bit of torque and had to downshift into 3rd. Thermostat bumped up to just under half-way but dropped right back down once the climb leveled out. Hardest part of the trip was backing into our camping spot. There was a bit of an incline and I definitely smoked the clutch a little.

Nice Chris.

Morning all.

Got to drive a 2010 Mustang GT and a 2010 Raptor. I'd driven a mustang before but the sound is very nice. 1st time in a Raptor, nice sound and the suspension soaks up bad pavement. I expected the steering to be bad but it was actually pretty good. I would lose my license in a week in either vehicle.

good news chris! looking forward to seeing it at LRP!

So fa so good. But as I understand it , the problem is really a poor design/valve and they all get dirty/go bad. I'm going to clean the one I have and use it as a spare if it acts up again. Takes about 15 mins to change out and that includes walking out to the car, getting the wrench out and putting things away.
