that's a lot of red!

Just picked up a set of 2.5RS 6-spoke rims. Not my picture, but much like this:

Those are some light rims! 16x7 53+ 5x100, 16.5 lbs each. There is a lot of curb rash and the paint is starting to flake around the centercap. I think I'm going to paint them bronze, but only in the winter (will roll on paint-chipping silver for now).

Thinking of picking up some General Exclaim UHP summer tires for those, partially because those have a blocky tread pattern and should be good for rally-cross! FOr now, got some free beater tires to go with those 6-spokes.

So I had a run in with a Supra today.. We happened to chat with each other since we pulled into the same store. His car was a beast of a machine and totally clean, not riced out like FF style. He was very curious about my Miata since I managed to keep with him on the on ramp to the highway and with passinga few slow cars (sub speed limit).

We had a long talk and he was impressed with the Miata and the output power it had. We even compared MPGs and he was amazed that I still get more MPG than he does with a better power to weight ratio.. That made me grin and love the Miata even more.

edit: on a second look the whole center console and rear is from RX-8 , was that an RX-8 interior swap ordeal ?

Morning all!

heading out of alabama this morning. went to a country bar last night and it was freakin amazing. I cant wait to go there again a year from now.

also last night I met up with FrankenMazda3. nice guy, hes only 20 so he couldnt come to the bar with us but he brought his flask so he was still doing some drinking

Officially done with wheel lug nut (cracked one), it took about $70 of various drill bits, a sledge hammer, few chisels and lots of hours of labor ... what a PITA.
Tomorrow new continentals will be installed and when the weather gets better again coilovers are in "To-do" list.

Kyle, was that part of SAE race/challenge school program ?
Did you guys build that bike from scratch and such ?

Long time, no see NEPOC! I've been lurking around...not posting much.

I've lost ~22 pounds since January...Starting weight was ~230lbs (nobody ever believed me, they thought I was lighter...either that or they were lying. ..probably lying lol). I'm down to 208 as of this morning...my goal is anything under 200...but I'm thinking I can get to 185-190 easily. I really haven't been doing much. I haven't been to the gym since February so everything I've lost is just from eating less.

Finally moving out of my folks' house! A buddy of mine has to relocate from Springfield (lease ends..doesn't want to renew) so we're eyeing somewhere around Enfield, CT. His lease ends at the end of May so June 1st I should be out (sweet freedom!)

Getting ready to do the "spring clean" on the 8...first semi-warm, sunny day I'll spend it doing that....since I can't make the Spring Clean Meet. Got a sweet mid-pipe to install too (Thanks Jenn!...don't let me forget to pay you!)

Can't wait to see all of you at Lime Rock!

(Did I see something posted about Cape Cod this year? I thought I saw something but I can't find it now...did the plans get scrapped?)

Damn...wanted a mid pipe. Lol. Can't afford one anyway. Starting to loose weight by force. Too many health issues. Yup...old man here. Soon to be part of AARP. Cape meet canceled. Just did not work out.

Aw, that sucks...maybe having late-summer /early-fall in the future might be a better option. Between the Mitty, LRP and everything else that's crammed into the beginning of the season it's difficult to squeeze anything else in. It'd be nice a nice "end-of-season" NEPOC event to look forward to as well (before the fall clean meet of course )

I raised it but it's about half inch lower than my old settings. I left the bump/rebound settings a KW specs in the back but softened the front a couple. Rides very well over the bumps now. Will post a pic when the rain stops.
