NEMOC Random BS Thread

Yup, had the RX-8 out Wednesday.. and yesterday. Man was yesterday gorgeous. I had to drive to a vendor for my work and my boss said I could go straight home afterward. Got out of work at 2:45, HELL YEAH!

Awesome! I go that way on Wednesday cause I drop my dog off in Farmington. I'll keep my eye for you next week

My wife and I are going to drive up the coast around Seabrook NH today. She wants to do some beachcombing. Supposed to be sunny for part of the day

So I've been thinking about this Cuba thing.... It's not too bad.. Tax free pay for a year, no bills, automatic board eligibility for the next pay grade, and NO MORE COLD WEATHER.

The downside... Missing all the cool NEPOC events.

(ok maybe the people too.... just maybe)

And we would miss you Chris. What would you do with the car? Storage?

down in mohegan last night ... right now ...won enough money to pay for the hotel room i guess that's good .... but not enough to pay for my drinks muuwahahahahaaaaa! I've never been I was so overwhelmed but wicked good time.

I'll be driving up CT Rt 2 to go visit the family today

Not a bad highway ride. Used to rip my bike up that way coming back from my folks.

hey, where are you located?

I have a friend coming up later tomorrow to help me out, since I can't even get to the parts store to get the belts, and a couple bolts I need. Hopefully I'll get things straightened out.

Thanks so much for the offer though.

i'm in central CT, willing to travel to help, have tools, pm me if you need help.

cars fixed:

only replaced the alt belt. it was an across cut, and the belt really has no cracks in it...so I'm thinking it was a rock that shot up or something...i WAS in boston.

I put a shorter belt on...bypassing the a/c compressor since I don't have any freon in there anyway...just need a jump start since the battery is dead (new battery as on january at least so I won't have problems there).

May swap out the disty/cap/rotor too when I get it going...just need to mark the ignition timing...maybe if i get motivated on sunday...

anyway...not I get to live on $40 for the week...don't have enough to pay my credit card bill till after i get taxes back :(

Had a great day with my wife cruising from Seabrook NH to York Harbor ME. Walked on a few beaches, drove top down all day and had an early dinner overlooking the ocean. Fantastic.

Supposed to snow here tomorrow lol. So much for spring

yeah i'm not looking forward to the rain tomorrow. I wish I could get a jump start tonight and have a car for tomorrow, but I don't see that happening.

My throttle body grounding cable came in today, so right after I got home, I installed that puppy! I haven't taken a spin yet to see if the shifts are smoother, but I'm thinking of hopping in the car for a quick 15 minute jaunt.

new tires, front brake rotors and fog lights showed up today:D. I ordered them yesterday from tirerack, shipped from deleware, props to them for speedy service. Now I just have to wait till next week for the rear rotors to show(sad2)

Nope. I could find out though. What are you looking for?

I passed a new Mazda 3 sedan on the road by my house the other day. All I can say is it sure is distinctive looking. ;)
