Did I read it right that you are planning on renting the condo instead of selling it?

Yes, we have some friends who live in the area that are going to rent it. They just got married and their long-term goal is to move to Florida in a few years. They are going to sign a year lease but hopefully we can keep them for 2 years. By then the market should have improved enough for us to refinance the condo or possibly sell it. If not, we'll just get another renter and hold out for a little longer.

I just faxed the signed purchase & sales agreement to our realtor. Once we get signatures from the sellers we'll be scheduling inspections. Closing date is scheduled for December 4th. We thought about doing January 1st but that is when our renters will be moving in. We can swing a month of both mortgages so this way we have the month of December to clear out the condo.

In other news, Amanda is definitely sold on the Honda Fit. We're gonna go drive the Fiesta just to see what it is about but as far as price goes, the Fit is the best option. Plus, we love the fact that the rear seat folds up as well as down. You can fold the bottoms up and let a dog sit on the floor. That is a great feature!

the fit is a nice little car. I almost purchased one a few months ago. I decided to wait until my employment situation cleared up before purchasing another vehicle.

still on the hunt for snows. just missed out on 4 which had 1-2 seasons left for $45!! its hard finding ones used for the stock wheels. they are often far too wide if you do find a 16.
