NEMOC Random BS Thread

Maybe you swapped the pos and neg leads on the horn? That's been known to happen before.

come on now...i'm an electrician...swapping + and - is just not me! oops....i think josh and i got that messed up once on his battery...(runs out to the car to check +-)

Hello everyone.

Not to be an ass Mark but I also remember a swap on suspension bits. ;) hope it is something as simple as a +/- swap.

Phen, hope you get your issue fixed. I must have missed that and thanks! In my recent 'tune-up' I didn't even think of the PCV...going to pick one up tonight.

Truck is gone and now I get to be a superhero...let any villian or evil-doer know that The Avenger is on duty. (pukey)

In my talks with Flyin' Miata (that I barely remember) I know Keith said to run it at the lower gap and use the cheapest plugs that are 1 step colder that I can find. Once I get it squared away, that's probably what I'll do.

sorry to hear it mark! was it the nautilus horn? those always degrade into a wheezing noise for me. maybe something got into the horn housing?

time for some hella supertones, i suppose!

morning...sorry to hear the regap didn't help phen??

so on my way to the mitty i lost my horn...no biggie...i get there forget about it till the last day and say it must be the fuse..can't be though cause the brake lights still work...the heck with it i'll check it when i get home...so last night i go at it...i fine the horn has undone itself from the mount i made, nut/washer/blot gone (thanks PA roads!!) now the horn is sitting on top of my intercooler..without taking the bumper off a spend WAY too much time getting it relocated sticking my hands into tight spots they weren't made to go, and finally get it rebolted up and rewired...guess what? push down on the horn button, and the thing like sneezes at me. it make this hideous sound that's worse then the stock horn...i'm so mad now! time for a new "bad boy"...bites!

Alright NEPOCers, anyone interested in some Black Team Dynamic Pro Race 1 17's? looking to go in a new direction with my car, going to start prepping my stocks for paint, so i want to sell my 17's. I think I posted this before but then FLIPFlopped as usual. But I really want to sell these and figured i would give my NEPOC family first dibs..... I have about 800 into them but not asking that, with the falken azenis's i got from Mahk last year i am looking at trying to get 600 for them. I will leave this here for a week or so then I am going to post it in other areas.

I changed mine for some FIAMM electric ones. Dual tone, but not as nice as the Nautilus sound but since they are electric no freezing or wearing out of the air horns. Loud too.

And morning all. Happy Friday. Finally some decent weather. Mowed the lawn for the 1st time in 3 years. Small yard so I got a small push rotary mower. Lol, took me back to my childhood when my grandfather had one.

Morning NEPOC!

Got a Muffler Violation ticket last night on my way to drop off the rear caliper piston tool that I rented from AutoZone. I saw the cop sitting at the intersection, pulled away normally and immediately get pulled over, I'm trying to think of what I could have possibly done. Cop asks me where I live, tell him next town over and he tells me that their town has a noise ordinance (any exhaust that can be heard within 300 feet or more). Awesome $85 for going to drop off a tool I rented. Will be avoiding the town and am strongly considering fighting the ticket.

Was super excited for the new shoes I put on the car, pretty sure I goofed and went with 225x45x18's when I should have gotten 225x40x18's all because I was nervous of NE potholes. Gonna need a fender roll at the minimum. Strongly considering biting the bullet and getting an aspect ratio down and trying to flip the rubber locally.

Good news is the brake job I did seems to have fixed the modulation I was getting and have been nice and smooth so far.

Ah well, at least it's Friday. May head out for lunch beers today.

ok, so the big question is....what town was this...i want away too! and YES fight every ticket...the worse you do is eat it, often if it's a frist offense you get it down to something more palatable!

Replied via PM, gonna fight it so keeping the ammunition to a minimum.

So I just got back after spending the week in Charleston, SC. My buddy who used to live there takes me to a restaurant called the South End Brewery. The only beer they sell is the stuff they make in house. Great beer and awesome food! I ordered some pork tenderloin that was served on grits with grilled apples and flamed apple brandy sauce. My goodness was it awesome. The server even recommended which of their beers to have with it. I have never had such a tasty meal in a lonnnnng ass time!

I had a new Mazda3 sedan for a rental this week and I have to say I'm rather disappointed. The gas mileage was good, space was a little small, but the seats were uncomfortable as hell for a 5 hr drive. I couldn't see me owning one because of those seats. The best part about it, the car rental place gave me one with no cruise control and manual door locks. My buddy and I didn't even know things like that still existed.

All in all, it was a good trip. I saw some sights on my off time, ate some wonderful food, drank some good beers, and celebrated Cinco de Mayo in style.

Next week, back to Kentucky. Yeeehaw.
