2010 Mazdaspeed 3
Does the factory setting on the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 have negative camber? Does anyone know the factory settings of the suspension? I have a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 and my tires are flat on the inside of the tire and was wondering if that was caused by the suspension setup or my driving. Your opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

the base mazda 3 and MS3 have a good bit of negative camber from the factory. keeping a close eye on your tire pressures and rotating tires every 5k miles should help with uneven wear. I wore out my stock tires in about 15k miles but the tread was even all around.

I rotate them every 3000 miles and I am still getting the inside corner flat. I check the tire pressure and tread all the time. I knew generally the hatches have a negative camber but I didn't know it was that high of a negative camber.

You carrying any regular loads in the trunk ? Also are the tires etc. all stock ?
Reminds me of my old 2002 tii the negative camber on that had fresh tread on the outer edge and steel belts exposed on the inside at 10K with theose old BF G Comp T/A's . soft as gum , but hit a corner and there was little doubt that anybody behind you was gone ....

I don't have any loads in the back. The belts aren't exposed yet but just worried they will eventually. It's just a good excuse to get a new set of rims and tires! LOL

W/O a camber kit in the rear no matter what you do, how often you check pressure and rotate them, expect to burn up a set of tires in <20k miles... unless running stones. Then you might get away w/30k.
Put in a rear camber kit and dial out some of the neg camber on your DD. If you are planning to auto-x, road rally or do time attacks, keep the neg camber and get used to ponying up for new rubber regularly.
That's after 6 yrs of ownership, 4 sets of tires (3 sets @ stock camber settings) and 57k total miles.

Are you saying (and I know you are) that I should count my blessings?
I don't know, but I seem to have had other cars that handled just as well, maybe better, that did not eat tires the way Mazdas do. I don't "play" that much these days, other than some spirited driving when city traffic allows. I have not tracked this car ever.
I got better mileage out of the rubber on my old 1980 Civic, and I did beat the s*** out of that car, both on the streets and in weekend auto-x/road rallies.

I haven't noticed any significant loss in handling since reducing rear neg camber to <1* and am hoping my $130 ea, 225/45-17" (that's 8.86" wide) tires will last more than 17k.
