Needed tires and stumbled across a killer deal today...

I took my car in for an inspection, and they told me what I already knew. My tires were shot. Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs that have only been on the car for maybe 6 months, and they had even been rotated. It turns out my p5 was in serious need of an alignment, which explained the extreme tire wear.

The bottom line... I needed tires.

I started shopping online for tires and found that Tire Rack had Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in size 205/50/R16 for $49 a piece. And if you buy a set of four, there's a $50 mail-in-rebate. Ultimately it worked out to be $190 for 4 tires shipped. That's a steal.

Also, if you're lowered and you've never had an alignment done, then do it! It made a huge difference in how my p5 handles, and the tires should last longer too!

good lord

edit: great deal if you running the stockers....and you are correct.....btw if you ever do anything(replace change or w.e.) to you suspension, get an alignment

and too bad they don't have the 215 45/r17 for that prce 170 a pop for those

those tires look if they start wearing the wrong way there gona be noisy and give ya some vibration.

Yeah, I've been running on 205's for the past year without any problems.

UPS says that the tires should show up on monday, which is pretty good since I just ordered them on thursday. I can't wait to see how they handle!

No I haven't filled out the rebate form yet, but you're right, these tires are awesome. They stick to the road solo much better than the crappy Kuhmo ASTs that I had before.

ok ive come to the decision that these tires suck...anyone else concur...my initial reaction was wrong

Not me... They handle x100 better than the crappy Kumhos I was running before. I'll admit, on a cold morning they're a tad slippery until I get them warmed up, but then again, they are summer tires.

So far, I'm 100% happy with them.
