My offset is fine with no passengers (38mm), but in July I will be taking a trip to Florida, plus I am installing a bit of stereo, and my tires rub in the rear when I hit bumps or take curves too fast with passengers. I need???? Should I go with COILOVERS or should I purchase something else? I need to raise the car about 1/2 to 3/4 inch (guessing).
No one rolls fenders in my area and the tool is $275 not to mention the risk of cracking the paint... Please help me decide what I need to do (Other than buy new rims or replace stock LOL)
Thanks
Jamey

u wont crack the paint if u do it right

use a heat gun and roll slowly, im sure u could rent it from somewhere?
if not a baseball bat will do wonders lol

So wait, you're on stock suspension now?

Going to coilovers isn't going to help you, since I don't believe there are any systems on the market that allow you to raise the ride-height to above-stock levels...

Well, I did it! I just bought an Eastwood fender roller. Hope I bought a good one. I will give it try and post back. Then I just might have a roller for sale at a discount when I am finished. LOL
Spend $258 (shipping and all) Dont think I got a bad deal.

Youll most likely crack the paint anyways. A friend of mine rolls fenders, and rolls a decent amount of fenders. Its very hard to not crack some of the paint. We rolled mine cold, so allll the paint chipped out, but I was at autox, and really need to stop my 255's from rubbing in the rear.

Cracking Paint/ Rolling fenders

Does anyone have experience rolling fenders with a heat gun and doing it slowly? Is it possible to roll fenders without cracking the paint? Does anyone have some tips for the correctly rolling fenders? anything would help because I really do not want to crack the paint. I have the Crystal White Mica w/the sparkle coating.

Yea...do it slowly. Heat the paint up so its warm to the touch. Make small bends alowing the paint to stretch. And be careful not to burn yourself. Used a leather glove.
