I installed my ground control coilovers on ny msp a few days ago and they will only drop the.car bout 1 1/2 inches and the front is on the bumpstops. Is there a solution to this so i.can go lower like a diff strut or somethin else. The coilovers are all the way down and it wont drop it it like it should. The rear has about 2 inches before its on the bumpstops but it wont go lower

I have cut them in half and if I take the bumpstops out the strut will be fully compressed. Are there some extended top hats or something I can buy?

I have ground controls on my msp. I already dropped my car like 2.5-3 inches, and theres plenty more room to drop. Are you on the stock tokiko blues?

Im still on the factory tokico blues and no my struts arent blown. And the springs in the front have 6 coils and the rear has 7. Thats right correct?

yea ill post a pic as soon as i get a chance. im thinking it has something to do with the struts. because the rear and front are all the way down and it wont go lower than 1.5 inch. or so. and i know ground control goes lower than that cause i had a set on my em1 and it was about 3 inches off the ground with threads left on the coilover

No the springs are right. 6 in the front and 7 in the back. Could the springs need time to settle?

I don't think they would settle THAT much. Maybe the springs are switched? If not it must not be the right kit.

Can anyone verify that the springs in the front hve 6 coils and the rear has 7 ? Im 100% sure thats the right way. Is there a chance they gave me too stiff of a spring rate?

ya the stiffer springs deff need to go in the front. well i have them on the stock tokico struts, and the ground controls can go pretty low. are you sure you got the right springs for an MSP?

well the guy from ground control told me they're kit was setup for a mp3 and base protege, not the msp. but if everyone else is going low on these i dunno what the problem is. my front struts are about bottomed out already. whats a better strut to go with? or just a solution like extended tophats or something?
