Need SS install help ASAP.(SoCal)

I decided to try and install my SS by myself as I have done so on my P5 and WRX previously. Well, everything was going great until I got to the spring part. I have installed the spring back to how it was, but when I seat the MS SS, it will not pivot. It only moves back and forth. I need some help. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also, if anyone in SoCal can help me out, I will more than gladly compensate you.
