Need something to 'Grin' about? (like us MSP owners need another reason to Grin!)

Any other thoughts, by anyone else on this? I'm sure Andrew, Dex, and myself would like to hear other opinions. Thanks!

Cheers!

Ideally, get at least 2 MSPs together and try different settings in each...hop between the two cars to hear the difference and determine what sounds best....the change the car that didn't sound as good to try to find something better.

Do you follow me ok here, or do you need more clairification?

Other than that, just mess around with it till you find what you like...sorry I can't be of more help.

maybe newf will never figure out what he wants and get both orange and grey - then he can do these suggested audio experiments.

You guys will likely have figured this out long before I get mine.....heck your cars might be old enough to trade in by then

Where is mine anyways?

Get both.....hmmmmmmm that'd be cool

I think we have all turned our bass up to compensate for the little sub and perhaps the trick is right here in front of us. It is too cold to go play in the garage and I am supposed to be working (from home) but when I get a chance I will play some more.

Andrew: I was out playing in the garage with my Kenwood last night after our posts. Ha! It's warmed up a bit here, now - so it's not too bad. Of course; being in the Midsouth, it will be getting cold again.
Plus; I was trying the different screen options on my Passport 8500 Radar Receiver - very cool!

I'm quite pleased with the 8" Sub in this car, though. That's all personal opinion, of course. I came to the office the long way this AM (about 42 miles), and I am still using the Subwoofer set to "OFF". Later today, I will switch it back to 8" Sub "ON", and review that. I will also go back to the O.E.M. settings for review.

My Bass settings are currently on the + side, but not too extreme.

My music tastes? Classic Rock - ELP, Rush, YES, Supertramp, etc... * Jazz - Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, Chuck Loeb, Brian Hughes, etc... * Carpenters - I love Karen's voice. Truly, the Voice of an Angel. My favorite female vocalist - period!

Cheers!

Hey AGR#7....
that's what i do when i'm bored...i go to the garage and play with the different types of music. Listen to what sounds best in the car. One of my favourites is the Toni Braxton CD. She's a really good female artist that i find performs really well in the Kenwood system. I think i might go to the garage tonight to try out the sub settings witht he head unit OFF. I've never done that before....

Does no one in here listen to Hive, Chemical Brothers, musicians under Ninja Tune and N-Tone labels, etc.? Don't tell me I'm the only one. :)

I am a fan of basement jaxx and daft punk, also knee deep shag and domestic problems. they are both michigan bands that none of you have heard of probably. but they kick ass none the less

Karen Carpenter? Toni Braxton?

Why even have a sub? Your not workin it

Just kidding

ROFLMAO!!!!!!! I also listen to classic rock and jazz. Hey! I'm 48 - give me a break!! HA! My 26 year old son listens to all of the younger sounds, plus a lot of what I listen to. We share a common interest in music.

If you haven't listened to Karen, you owe it to yourself. She was the best!

Cheers!

I love their Stouts! That is some great Beer! Typically; I drink IPAs, Pale Ales, Stouts...... And, that is what I like brewing.

I'm sure Bell's brews some wonderful Pale Ales (and IPAs), but I have never had the chance to try them.

I also LOVE: Stone Brewery's Arrogant Bastard. Rogue's Dead Guy Ale.

I'm not sure if you saw this that I posted before..........

My favorites? Here are a few, I really enjoy from America ........

From Chico, CA: Sierra Nevada Brewing's * Pale Ale, Stout, Celebration Ale, Big Foot Barleywine (Sierra Nevada is one of the original pioneers in the Craft Brewing industry (1981) - wonderful beers!!

San Francisco, CA: Anchor Brewing (resurrected in 1968 by Fritz Maytag) * Liberty Ale, Old Foghorn - actually helped out Sierra Nevada in the beginning with some brewing equipment.

San Diego, CA: Stone Brewing Co. (brewers of Arrogant Bastard) -these guys do it right, and they do it BIG!

Newport, OR: Rogue Ales, (brewers of Dead Guy Ale) John Maier; their Brewmaster does everything in excess, producing some wonderful beers!

Chicago, IL: Goose Island Brewing. Their IPA (India Pale Ale) is one of the finest anywhere. All of their beers are top notch.

Kalamazoo, MI: Bell's Ales (Awesome beers)

Cheers!

Amber is a generic term for an Amber colored beer (either lager or ale). There are some very good ones out there. Generally, a light to medium beer in body and flavor. Now; with that said, there are full bodied / higher alcohol Amber beers out there.

I was just reading about Kalamazoo Brewing's "Two Hearted Ale". 'Sounds good! I have never experienced it, however. None available in my area.

The Bell's (Kalamazoo brewing Co.) "Oberon", again, one that I have not had the pleasure of tasting. Sounds like a Hefe Weizen (unfiltered wheat) beer. A nice summertime treat. That is the only time, I drink that style. Great beers, and with a typically lighter body, they are wonderful for the summer months.

Cheers!

My freind you need to take a trip to the kalamazoo brewing company and order the oberon. It is a beer that they only brew from april to oct and it is there best seller. It does not taste like a normal wheat brew or heavy by any means. also all of belles beers are unfiltered so they taste so much better. I would check your local liquer stors for some of belles beer i have friends in colorado that get it. he delivers all over.
Also Belles Amber is the name of one of their brews, I know that it is also a generic term for the color of a beer. But bells brew so many different varietys of stouts, ales, and porters you would be surprised
But check out bellsbeer.com you will find all you need to know about kalamazoo brewing company

Excellent! Bell's is much like Rogue Ales (Newport, Or). They brew beers without restraint. My kind of beers! But no; no Bell's Ales available in our area - damn it! Ha!! So; they bottle condition their beers. Very good.

I'm sure, you also have access to Goose Island Beers from Chicago. Simply put; they brew one of the best IPAs anywhere! And; a friend of mine sent me some of their Christmas Ale this past December. Excellent!!

Speaking of another Holiday seasonal;
Sierra Nevada's "Celebration Ale" is another of my favorites. It's actually the only beer Steve Dresler (Brewmaster) dry hops. In fermentation, additional Cascade Hops are added. It's sooo Good!! A beer for a true hophead (like myself).

Cheers!!

Goose island is not really that popular in kalamazoo. You actually have to search hard to find some. I think it has somthing to do with bells being right here, that people like to keep it close to home. i dont know.
