Mazda Protege 5
haven't been here in a while. just recently finished finals at school and getting some much needed time off from work.

anyone know where i can get a single 15" rim for my brothers 2001 Protege LX. its a 4 lug. he smashed up his car against a curb and cracked his current rim and put a whole in his trans oil pan. he's going today to order the oil pan from Mazda but i think the rim would be a little too expensive if he got it directly from mazda.

if anyone has any ideas let me know.

he's only 18 and has NO MONEY. so no ideas about 18 inch rims or anything. those are for me (birthday)

I would assume he has the steel wheels on it. The 14" from mazda lists at 111.55 and the 15" lists at 131.65. I could get you the 14's for 73.59 and the 15's would run 86.84. Both prices would be plus tax. In all honesty though, i would assume if you could find one at a junkyard you wouldnt be spending more than 20-30 dollars.

I'm not sure what you mean by steel wheel. It's the standard 15" rim that came on a 2001 Mazda Protege LX. It's not a hubcap wheel, it's the regular 4 lug wheel that has the mazda logo on the center cap.

How much for the tire too?

Thanks

Ahh ok so its an aluminum wheel with no hubcap. I will check it out for you tomorrow when im back at work. The tire would be way cheaper just to go to a tire shop than a dealer. My dealer really doesnt get any specials on tires so by the time we mark it up and sell it to a customer it is way more expensive than just going to a tire shop on your own. Anyways i will get back to you tomorrow with the price for the rim.

Ok they show 2 different aluminum 15's so i would need a vin to tell exactly which one you would need. They run 160 and 240 respectively plus tax.
