Need Paint Help Please!!!!!

I'm so f*ckin pissed right now. I come home with my girlfriend and there are some people parked REALLY close to my garage door. Instead of parking outside, I'm like, I got it. I ended up scraping up when the back door meets the quarter pannel down to the metal. Doesn't look too bad, but it's painful. I hate it more because I did it to myself. As long as I've been driving and I haven't scraped anything ever before tonight.

Anyway, I live in Maryland about 15 highway minutes north of College Park (where I used to live) and about 10 highway minutes south of Columbia. I am looking to have this repainted (and have my hatch debadged and repainted if not too expensive). PLEASE post up or PM anywhere you know who does good work in Maryland.

I am not necessarily looking for a hook-up or cheapest price (although that would help) but I am primarily looking for someone who will do EXCELLENT work. I don't want to pay for anything less. Btw, it might be harder because of the flake in the paint, I have a 2008.5 Metro Gray MS3.

And yes, I'll take some pics tomorrow.... :: sigh ::

sorry to hear about your incident man.. As for getting the paint worked on.. You can take it to almost any body shop that isnt named (Inserttrashname's) Body Shop. Alot of shops will show previous work. I for one had an incident with a tree and my rear bumper.. Insurance covered it but the body shop I took it to did amazing work. The work was delayed though due to the shop having to order the paint from mazda. I also have a metro grey ms3 =)

any suggestions in PG, Montgomery, or Howard County?? Found a place or two in Rockville who seem reputable from websites and phone calls, but no time to take by for an estimate yet.

That does suck, your best bet besides opinions is to go check the shops out in person and look at their work. Good bodyshops/painters take pride in what they do and it shows.

Went and got a few quotes today closer to my house. They were anywhere from $550-$1200. I found a place where the people were nice, I saw them working on and finishing projects (looked top notch), and one of the lowest prices. It's going to cost about $600 and I am dropping it off on Monday, probably picking up on Wednesday or Thursday.

He is going to paint the quarter pannel, half the door, and bang the fender out. "easy" job he said. Hope it looks factory!

Dude said he has a Monte Carlo now, but used to own a twin-turbo FD and has always loved Mazdas. He's only charging me $35/hour for labor!! (drinks)

Well, on his sheet he wrote fender = 1 door = 1/2

I dunno if that's time, labor, or the piece to be painted. I assumed it would be half the door.........
