Ok well here's the deal. I need to be tuned better. Well don't we all if we are on stock ecu maps. Well i was wondering. should i wait till i can go mpi tuner and get tuned or will i be ok with pnp unichip. Only reason i'd rather go unichip is bc its pnp and i can't do it soonerand more easily. Heres my mods right now injen cai, apex 3in dp,apex 3in catback, colder denso plugs, turboxs ds boost controller, use sunoco 94 ocxtane gas, and hi boost fmic is on its way.

which route should i take?

based on what ive been reading, and this is just my opinion. if like, ron popeil, u want to set it and forget it, then get the unichip. If you want to be able to tune it for your car, since the unichip isnt going to react the same on everyones car, then get mpi. I also read that if you want to retune the unichip you have to have it done by a certified unichip tuner or send it to unichip (not sure which). The mpi tuner, which will take some tuning on your behalf to get right, is a unit you can tune for the mods you have, and if you change mods you can adjust it yourself. Its up to your preference really. Me personally im gonna go with mpi if nick ever answers my pm or email ;)

oh and both units have rave reviews, i just want to make sure i can tune it myself, im just like that.

I'm still on "stock maps" lol.....can't even type that without smiling lol

how about trying a diffrent approach , can you tune it your self ?
if you cant tune it your self , then id prob get the unichip , its cheaper and plug and play and can have some one else make you custom maps. but seriusly you live in NJ thats where MPI is . if moneys not a problem id set up an appointment with nick .
