need opinion on window tint

Aloha everyone,
I'll be getting my windows tinted in about 2 weeks. Can anyone send me some pics on their rides with tinted windows. I live in California, and there are laws about tinting the drivers and passenger door windows. Although, I do know that. I'm going to get them tinted anyway. Also, if you give the percentage of darkness that would be cool.
I'll be doing the brakes, painting the calipers and replacing the rotors. I've got drilled/slotted Brembos, that will be going on. They are going look awesome.
Thoughts and photos would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

If found that pictures of window tint, especially on the net aren't very accurate representations of what they would look like in real life. I would suggest that you go to the tint shop and look at the models for yourself to see what's best for you.

don't get it. i haven't found one shop yet who's tint job i like and it always comes out like crap. save your windows and the car. :)

My tint

Wow, I think that tint is awesome... You can see my tint here (need to take abetter photo with P5 only - this was when I tinted both cars... Llumar tint, lifetime warranty, awesome job...)

In sunny Texas I will never own a car without tint anymore :)

35 front doors, 15 the rest...

This thread has a lot of tint pictures...

Tint will look differently based upon the light and angle of the car. Get the tint done at a reputable place and it should look great for the life of the car.

Here is mine, 18% rear and 50% front (to still be legal here). In bright sunlight, the color difference is more noticable.

It's colored to match the paint. Have you though about going with a color that matches either you paint, or possibly other pieces (calipers, shocks, under hood pieces etc)?

It's illegal here in Texas, but I've been pulled over 3 times and it's never been mentioned since it looks prety light up close. And I even passed state inspection with it too.

I don't know what CA laws are, but in NY, we can tint our front windows, but I think only 35%, but the back windows, and rear we can go down to 20%. It should be illegal everywhere to tint your windshield, except for a stript on top. A friend of mine tinted all his windows 20% except his windshield, so far its been 8 months, and he's never been pulled for his tints yet. Also, like someone else said, photos are bad representations of tint quality. Check out other ppl's tints, if there's no bubbling its good. When you get your tints, dont open your windows for 2-3 days.

btw: good thing you live in CA, and not a place where there are seasonal changes, your drilled rotors would crack after 1-2 NY winters.

i have 35% on my car, check my sig.

what color is your car btw? peace

35% everywhere but the rear window, which is 20%. :) I also live in Cali, and I've never been hassled for the tint.

Wow, I'm not a big fan of the spicy orange MSPs but yours looks pretty cool with the orange tint. Can't help but think of Halloween a driving around a pumpkin though.

Thanks man, I get compliments on it all the time. Only one person who's seen it in person has said they don't like it (although I'm sure others have thought it). I figured I allready drive an orange car so what's it going to hurt, plus I got a great deal - $135 for the whole thing so i figured it was worth a chance.

What I like about it is looking into the car it looks like normal medium tint (maybe 50%-60%), it's only when you look through it (like through both windows or when there's light on the other side) does the orange pop out. Subtly different under most conditions. And you should see a Texas Sunset through my tint, everything is firey oranges and reds, perfect for getting the wife in the right mood.

I went 35% all around (except windshield)...and I think it looks good. BTW, the angle of this pic makes the tint look darker.
