Need New Tires.. Recommendations?

anyone have any recommendations on what type of tires i should buy my rear set are bald on the inside... What type would you guys recommend

What are you looking for summer or all season tires? If you are looking for a high performance all season I would suggest the Continental ContiExtreme Contacts or the Pirelli PNero Zero M&S. If just a summer tire then go with Goodyear Eagle F1's or BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW 2's. Just seems like those have have good reviews from Tirerack. Those are my suggestions. Right now I run the Conti's. Softer sidewall than OE's but traction is just about the same and also better in inclement weather.

I'd have to lean toward the Goodyear Eagle f-1s. Like stated above, good reviews and good wet traction for a summer tire.

Ditto on the Goodyears. I picked up a set for when I need to replace my stockers. I would also look at Nitto's if you need something less expensive.

Just get a good tire with a treadwear rating of at least 280.

For low cost, some of the Kumho's are a good bet, as are the new Fuzion tires from Bridgestone (but only judging by prices on those). Michelin and Pirelli are in a way different price bracket. (burnout)

I have the pirelli pzero m/s all season high performance. I love them. Have spun the tires a few times and little sign of wear. they have awesome traction on dry wet and snow. (YES SNOW!) I crashed into a curb with my stock tires in the snow. Stinkk...oh well stuff hapens. Just messed up a lower control arm and wheel. Well good luck. I'll be a pirelli buyer for good now though.

on phone with mazda corp as i sit here they never did a factory allignment like the dealship should have off the truck and never did a tire rotation like they said they did... so talking to mazda corp about new set of tires...

I am getting the BFGoodrich g-Force TA KDW's. They have a higher tread wear rating than many performance tires and they are good for dry and wet conditions. they also have the highest rating on traction and temp control. And they just look cool too. If anyone knows a good discount place to get them that would be some good info here too!

You could eliminate the need for snow tires with the Continental Extreme Contacts.. very good compromise dry tire, great wet tire, best snow all season I've seen. Downsides are they give up that Max performance edge the car desires. I'd say if its not on your bill the BFG KDWs, if you are paying you can get the same performance edge from a set of Bridgestone S03s for significantly less money... not so worried about rain? 215/45/17 Kumho MXs are the highest grip tire you can buy in that size. You can autocross STX on those and do great.

But personally I think you have a chance to forego snow tires by going with the Extreme Contacts... cincy weather is such a crapfest anyways, but our snow is spuradic at best... mostly just sucky weather. Extreme Contacts will do great. I wish I had some for rallycross.

All be getting the Falken 451's. I've heard good stories about traction and especially wet weather grip (AA rating). Also they have a softer sidewall which I dont mind, because with a lowered ride and 17 inch wells the ride can get rough. The tread pattern also looks aggressive

Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions are going to be my next set of street tires. Kumhos are good for the money, but the S-03s are better I hear.

Any falken tire will do you good. From working in the tire industry and racing with several different, my favorites are the falken azenis,other good ones are grb fk451,ziex 502,512 and the nitto nt555

wait to hear more info on the fuzion tires. I heard they were supposed to be one of the best, if not the best tire out. How true it is, I don't know. They are supposed to be out in like less than a month, if not out already. Their parent company is Bridgestone. The tire is the Fuzion ZRi.

I have these on mine for about 2,000 miles so far. Much quiter than stock Bridgestones and similar performance. I'm happy so far although I have heard of Toyos getting bubbles in the sidewalls. nothing on mine yet.

I've heard they're crap, but don't know why. I've only heard bad things about them.
