Need input on IIIs reliability, quirks, etc.

I am purchasing a '04 3s and would like to know if anyone has any input as to the quality of this little gem... I am the original owner of an '88 323 with 356K mi. and I am about to start restoring her. She's been the most reliable car I've ever owned and hope the IIIs will be the same (only faster!) zoom-zoom....

Ive had mine for about 2 months and almost 4k miles, no problem at all so far, except as i mentioned in one of the threads that my windshield washers dont spray anymore but im sure its something minor.Another guy posted on my forum www.mazda3s.com that his clutch went out at 7k, kinda scary ! (scratch)

hey well i got around 4k miles too and there wuz a small problem..from 2000-2500 miles when i tried to start the car up...it wouldnt start up normally and it would struggle for a few seconds and then start up...but no problems when driving it...also my airbag light is comin on sometimes but im gonna get that fixed during my first appt...but other than that..the car kix ass....im completely satisfied with the car and once i get some turbo (in 10 years) itll be even better..lol

I'm glad to hear of your 323. I owned domestic cars until 1 mo ago. the three is roomy, peppy and chicks dig it! lol

haha.. yeah, I used to own a domestic car too.. I'm still driving mine until my 3 comes in june. Needless to say, I'm never buying another pontiac again.. lesson learned..

I'm mazda from now on.
