need help

ok so i was installing my avn today w/ a little help from a friend and no the car wont start at all and the (key) warning light on the dash is on and a fuse that i looked up which is under the dash and says for protection of critical engine parts keeps blowing any info would be useful thanx

It's an indash unit. I would check all the fuses and make sure you didn't blow any. Also sounds like an issue through your wiring harness shorting one of your leads.

Or it could be that the install is incorrect.

well i put everything back the way it was ....stock and that fuse keeps blowing the second you turn the key it pops the fuse the tow truck is on its way thanks for the help n e way guys

yeah man you shorted something to ground it sounds like... when X wire was getting juice through it when you started up it was shorting out the system... you clipped something or crimped something inadvertantly i would think... good luck

well a short up date mazda now has the car and what their telling me happened was when the alarm didn't regonize the key in the ignition and it shorted out the computer now its going to be 2-3 weeks before a new one gets here so i'm on my way to get a rental thanks for all the help guys
