Need help with options

First I apologize for asking and posting so many questions. There is not a lot of information available on the mazda 5, except for this forum, and possibly the yahoo cars forum.
I am deciding on the dealer options I want, and would like to get some feedback(good and bad) on the following.

1) The moonroof wind deflector

2) The cargo cover

3) All season floor mats being offered by mazda

4) wheel locks

In my other cars, I wanted to enjoy the look and feel of everything, and I never had any of the above in them, except for the all season floor mats on my acura tl, but acura makes in my opinion, a very good quality one, and has really protected my front carpeting.
I am really interested in opinion of the moorn roof wind deflector and wheel locks, but comment on all four will be apprecited.

Stay safe

I had the Mazda dealership tell me that I can get a better sunroof than the factory one and it will be a feqw hundred less. Get the cargo cover. It might come in handy. I would say also get the wheel locks. Protect those rims.

Floor mats are also good to have if you live anywhere with inclement weather.

Wheels Locks $25, ALL-WEATHER MATS $52, (Both forsure in my mind.) Wind Deflector $48 (Flip a coin, some think it looks nice, others dont) Cargo Cover $132 (Royal Pain in butt if you use the 3rd row and quite pricey, A window tint is the way to go)

Moon Roof if you go Touring you'll have no choice if not, You either like them or not.

Definitely get the deflector for the moon roof. I have one and have driven a loaner without one. It makes a huge difference in the amount of wind noise with the moon roof open.

I expected to never use my moon-roof but I wanted the touring. I use it constantly. Literally every day on my way home from work I open it and let the fresh air come on in without having all the wind from the windows.

Don't have any of the others so... I think a cargo cover would be nice sometimes, but I've heard it a pain to find somewhere to store it when not in use. There are detailed pictures of one somewhere in these forums.

Edited to add a link to the thread with pics of both the cargo cover and the floor mats - http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123633852

All weather mats:
We've got ours and they fit perfectly once we had the original mats removed. However bear in mind that the mats only cover the driver/front passenger areas and the second row. That leaves the gap between the two second row seats and the little floor space on the third row uncovered. Also, the grooves on the Mazda mats are not very deep so I doubt if they can handle the slush that we have here in Toronto.

Not sure I would get the moonroof wind deflector. Personally I think it's butt ugly!

The cargo cover is overly expensive for what it is. Covers 6 inches of space

The floor mats are a good idea for the winter but at nearly $200 they are pretty pricey!

Wheel locks are not an option. They are included when you purchase ( at least at my dealer, they don't charge for the wheel locks) and really you're spending nearly 28k for a car and they want to charge you $25 for wheel locks??

if you have the back row down, there's another set of holes that the cover goes into and it'll stretch out to cover the whole thing. i love ours.

We just picked up ours tonight.. We have the all weather mats, I said pass on the cargo and went for the tinting instead... You don't want it looking like a fish bowl now do you... Plus I had one of those in my old mustang and as mentioned it was a royal pain when you wanted to put something larger in and drop the seats.

Didn't even consider the wind deflector.. ugly.

$25 for the wheel locks seem like a good price, I think I paid more than that at the parts store last time.

Don't forget... you can always try to negotiate some or all of these things into the purchase price, especially on an 06.

All Weather Mats

These items are a must and remember one safety item... the drivers side mat has a hole in it to match the cloth mat hole so it will not slide up behind the pedals. Secondly easy to clean up and yup vacuum.

Other options are just a good.... if you get a tint you will not need cargo cover.

I recommend soft liner cover on 3rd row seat backs.

I have Mazda all weather mats as well. But once screw that holds metal piece with pin on it for driver mat fell of. I was on parking a lot ready to go, pressed the clutch to shift to neutral ( I always leave the car in 1 gear). The mat slided up and covered pressed clutch pedal. Than I was going to press clutch to shift in reverse and discovered my clutch pedal is missing !!!. It's like suddenly I'm back in the car with auto. I tried couple more times but it's not there. My wife looked at me what the hell I'm doing? I looked underneath and found my pedal under heavy mat
Of course heavy winter boots contributed to it. I'm lucky that it didn't happen during driving. But moral is that be careful with that attachment for mat especially who drives stick.

I think All Weather Floor mats are somewhat ugly and 4x4'ish, but yet if you live in a muddy or snowy area, they're pretty much a must. They're so easy to just spray off with a hose when they get trashed.

IMO the wheels locks are never a 'bad' idea, but there are way too many other cars out there with nicer factory alloys than what's on the 5 for me to worry about, not even mentioning aftermarket rims. $25 isn't bad for an extra piece of security, though.
