2008 MZ3i Blue Mica Sedan
I have recently started to mod my 2008 Mazda3i and I have decided on just about everything except for lighting. Now I know that I at least want to replace my low-beams with HID or Xenon lights but I know absolutely nothing about them. If someone could please post some different options (with links) and maybe some explanations of how they work, good price ranges, and difficulty of install it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

putting the legality issues aside...

if you can replace a headlight bulb, you can install a HID kit.

also, you might find DDM to have horrible customer service, and poorly matched bulb colors. TheRetrofitSource.com has 10000x better customer service. their kits might cost a little bit more up front, but you will get a better kit and the best customer service.

I have had DDM tuning lights for a solid 2 years now, absolutely no problems whatso ever, so i digress that i can't say i had to deal with customer service. My bulbs did match up perfect though.

Stick with the stock 4100-4500 kelvin rating. It provides the most light output. If you want the pretty blue flicker then replace the frosted projector lens with a clear one.

+1 on TRS kits. More money up front, but a much better and more dependable product. Plus Matt at TRS gives great service.
