Need Help Quick!

OK, I am ready to get my wheels picked out, but I am having a problem with the offset. I am looking at the Motegi MR7 which have a 40mm offset. I was told not to lower the car because it will rub. I am using 215/40/17 Falken 512's. I can get a STUPID deal on them, but I am worried about the offset. What should I do!?

You should not get them if your lowering your car...if you are lowing it....i say go 48+ offset with a 205 tire

I have 44+ offset and had 215's on them with my car lowered Ebach springs...and they rubed...i moved down to 205's and shaved my lip and everything is ok now.
