does anyone know of a site that sells window mount gauge pods? i found a site the other day they are for a single gauge and stick to the window like the rear view mirror.

Jegs has dual and triple a pillar pods for around 50 bucks. I think they are unpainted though. Also somewhwere I read that there is a plate to mount the guages where the compartment below the head unit is.

ide rather not put a pillar sytle pod on just cus i dont want to mess up the pillar by screwing into it, and the window mount ones i saw were prety decent looking

The a pillar just replaces your stock one if you want to put the original back in you just swap it back in there is no modifying to your original.

The full A-pillar should fit no problem they make one specific for the protege. Heres the link to the paint that matches it. Check out the aftermarket parts guide thread. They have the part numbers for the pods on Jegs. There is somone on this board who makes single full A pillar pods. I don't remember who though.

sweet ride man, that pics realy does help did you use the paint from the after market guide? and if so how well does it match the passenger pillar?

Yep that's what I want to do. Too bad I just dropped like 500 something bucks on snow tires

nice gauge but you should really think about getting a gauge that doesn't read up to 30 psi cause in stock trim the gauge pin will only move a tiny bit (not cool) I went to a junkyard and found a 30 hg-15psi VDO black face gauge from an older porsche (free) when I spike 15 psi the pin is all the way to the end of that gauge seeing it move that far is alot cooler than it barely moving

That's a good point, my old gauge for my MX-6 had 25 psi max, it wasn't that cool when I was boosting 7, but looked a lot better at 14:D

The full a-piller pods from jegs don't replace the stock pillar. It slips over the stock pillar. The instructions say to screw it in, but I just used mounting tape in a couple of key spots, and it's worked fine.

Eventually I'll get around to painting it to match the other pillar.

thanks man, would have never known that it didnt replace it and that it only covered it

I didn't realize that either good thing to know. Autometer has a couple of guages that read 20 psi. It's a little better than 30 psi ones.
