Changing the oil today and installing the new Oil Pressure gauge.... I canno get the mother ******* stock sender off. Any tips? Tried removing that suppor bracket that goes from the IM to the block, but I stripped one of those damn bolts. I have a 24mm deep socket that fits over the unit, there just isn't enough room to use it. Any suggestions?

Well.. i had the same problem.. and since you got the 24mm deep socket.. then its just a matter of getting enough leverage.
I assume the oil filter is off? Thats the only way to have enough room to get it off. Mine came off once i had the right socket.

i left my oil filter on and i had my car up on a rack and i will tell you that i probably fought with that son of a b**** for almost an hour. you just got to keep playing with it and trying to get more leverage.

take the filter off.. thats the ONLY way i could even get to it.. Yea.. you might have to do an oil change to do it..
Did you ever get it off? Let me know how it went.

I ended up getting it off. I hade to get t 1/2" Drive 24mm socket, with a 3/8th" reducer to get a ratchet short enough.

Thats good.
I just got a 24mm deepwell socket, with a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer.
It was cake with the filter off and the right socket. :)

Speaking of sockets... i had to buy a filter wrench socket adapter to get my oil filter off from when i changed my oil the last time... Boy was it a PITA to get off....

glad you got it off man. stop buy if your in Ltown during the day sometime and let me check them out.
