Need Help Asap

so i was driving down the highway cruising at 80 mph and suddenly all my lights go out in the car, my whole dash cluster and the AC switches and all the interior lighting just goes off. THe radio is still fine and the interior dome light is fine. My headlights are all good but my tail lights also go out too. when i break the tail lights work but they dont work with the headlights. so i really do not know what could be wrong, sorry i am newbie at this, could it be the fuse? maybe i can replace a fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay? i have a boost guage and my air fuel installed, maybe it caused the short that fused the interior lighting?

Yeah i would say check the fuse box first....it happens to my 94 celica gt-turbo too...it happen just like you wrote...i check the fuse box in the engine and find out that one of my fuse inside the car were out...i just replace that one and it works fine...

you must have shaken your electrical system to pieces with that mighty sub of yours, emad :)

sounds like a fuse to me... plus you should hope so cause then its a $2, 5 minute fix

Check all of them. Probably it will be the fuse in the cabin. It's by your left foot. Check the fuses there and check the engine bay. If all the fuses are fine, then come back and we'll go back to the drawing board. :)

chech the relay's in the fuse panel under the hood... I had one jump out on me when I hit God's-own railroad track this year.

guys its ****** up, i changed my fuse 4 times and it kept on blowing after 2 minutes, theres gotta be a short somewhere..any sugestions?

Sorry I didnt see the boost gauge and a/f, but i agree with mp5jeff, disconnect the boost and a/f. Replace the fuse, and see if it blows again.

i only wired my boost guage and my a/f ratio guage. i swapped out my headunit but thats on a harness so it should not effecgt anything, i also have a 12 inch sub hooked upto my stock amp.

Go as close to stock as possible. Drive it around for a while, and make sure its not a warranty issue. If its fine, start wiring up your aftermarket stuff one at a time, so you can determine which part is causing the problem. I don't think its the sub because you would blow either the amp fuse or the fuse on the battery.

I blew that same fuse. It's marked "TAIL" in the fuse box in the engine compartment (near the driver's wheel well). If you wired your boost guage light to anything in the column then that's likely the culprit.

Try this:
On the boost guage, remove the light bulb. Disconnect the A/F guage from ground. Replace the 15A fuse to the "TAIL" and see what happens.

hey richelesro what if i check the wires and theres nothing wrong, i wired up my boost and my a/f to part underneath my steering column..
