I need to order a new clutch TODAY. I always planned on an ACT, but I see that the Spec clutches are considerably cheaper. Here's the situation:
I plan on running 250whp (about the same torque) MAXIMUM. More than likely I will be around 220whp when all is said an done. So I can get by with a Stage I. So it all comes down to feel. Unlike most people, I like a slightly stiffer clutch feel, as long as it isn't mushy. For reference, the stock Evo clutch is just right.
I plan on getting the whole clutch kit, not just the disc. It's pretty much between the ACT HD Performance Street kit and the Spec Stage I kit.
Now, I need the parts at my doorstep by Friday afternoon, so shipping is a factor, too. I see HPF has a good deal going on the Spec Stage I for $245 shipped, and I would get the SS clutch lines for $20, too ($265 + overnight shipping). Is there any reason to get the ACT over the Spec Stage I? The cost difference is quite a bit, unless someone knows where I can get a really good deal on the ACT.
Thanks guys!
