I need some stock automatic dyno numbers for a 2002 p5. if anyone knows where i can get some that would be great. any drivers that had a dyno done on a auto and have a printout scanned in????

we had a dyno night yesterday. we have numbers for a auto and some standards. we have videro proof and picture proof. im outtinf together a package.

Mine is auto anyways.
So I don't care about speed and I don't expect speed from my P5.
BUT!! 90 whp is seriously powerless.

Are you going to tell us the numbers???

I posted 102.7whp in my 2002 auto. (with Injen intake)

I guess mine will be 97whp with Injen CAI and MS exhaust. :)
anyways where did 33 hp go??
that's too much lose.

evertone sais we lose alot but I dont think so. A honda civic si is rated at 160 hp and only dynos at 135 typically. ( I am talking about the 99 and b16A3). V8s lose even more if you look at their dyno results. Mazda only rated the car at 130 also different dynos vary dyno are made more for finding and showing improvement most dynos will have different numbers then the next. If you use one dyno and make changes I would go b ack to the same dyno to find differences.

I will say though that with a lite load and 5-8 gallons of gas under WOT the car is reasonably peppy. It 'feels' faster than 90-100whp until of course you sit in another car.

I got 108.3 to the wheels in my auto. I have ingen cai and a custum 2 1/4 exhuast and a bombz muffler. I also have denzo iridium spark plugs and magnacor 8.5mm plug wires.

Also the numbers of a free standing dyno will be higher than a ground level dyno.

i would really like to see what a good header and hi-flo cat would do for your car black, I bet it would help the exhuats get a bigger gain and get gains of their own, as well as the intake, as much air as an intake pulls in the exhaust has to put out.

ever notice the companies that build 500hp beats like FEED, and Bozz use like 3 or 4 inch pipes for intakes and for exhausts they all use 2.5 to 3 in titanium exhausts, if a part has potenetil gain in it they know how to make it show its full potential.

damn rambling again.

I almost had a header but I got busted street racing last night. I really want the racingmazda header but i'm scared I will do something crazy with more power. I might go ahead and get it I will see in sept. If I get it I will dyno asap.

All of our runs were done on the same dyno on the same day. We used a Mustang dyno and all cars were subject to the same conditions. Every dyno machine will give out different results. I am not saying that any numbers we achieved from our dyno are 100% correct. and do not feel that other numbers provided from other drivers are a comparison unless they were done on the same dyno with the same calibration methods. I have seen people posting 80 WHP up to 110 WHP on a automatic with only a intake. We had a stock 5 speed, 5 speed with intake, 5 speed with ground wires and a intake and a automatic with ground wires, intake and a exhaust system.

The numbers below are in WPH not HP

5sp stock = 86 WPH
5sp with intake = 89 WHP
5sp with intake and ground wires = 89 WHP
Auto with intake, ground wires and exhaust system = 89 WHP

We were told that you get around a 30 35 % loss on a standard and 35- 40 % loss on a automatic. Our number are somewhat impressive / respectable. We seemed to have Hp gains for the mods that were preformed.
