do you mind explaining what Cirque du Soleil - Varekai in NYC is??

it sound expensive:eek:

Ahhh no, least to me. But then again if you really love her does it matter on the price?
Course think if this is what you spend on the 6-month, what will the 1 yr be like.

:)

don't splurge, man! see, if this is how it's gonna be at six months, she's gonna expect something bigger and better by a year... then two years, then three... and by the time you are married to her, you're spending a year's worth of salary on something for her. don't do it!!!! it's been three years with my girlfriend and i finally broke the 900 dollar barrier. at your rate, you'll break the 900 dollar barrier in a year!

but if you are gonna get some sweet love action.... just kidding. i had a neighbor and her bf go to cirque do soleil in vegas... heard it was one of the most amazing shows ever. it just might be worth it to go with her for the hell of it and not make it a gift, know what i mean?

actually, now that i think about it, if you divide that by two, you're only spending a little over 200 on her. not bad. go for it man!!!

tonkabui speaks the truth.

I don't want to offend anyone here, but %95 of the woman I met work that way.

400 bucks...1 night. Hell no. I've been with mine 6 years, I would never throw away that kinda money on some silly tickets ..unless I was making a 6 figure salary.

cirque de solei.. is a circus.. its cool. i took my girl to go see it.. but i donno about this vip thing your talkin about.. our tickets were like 140 each and we been together for 3 years.. cool show.. but i donno what the big excitement about vip is..

yeah, i'd have to agree with pfizzle... go to the show, but don't flip for the VIP tix. hell, i don't think i would buy those tix even for my wife. if you must spend the money though, go to a really nice restaurant and get regular tix. or save it for your car.

Thanks guys :)

The reason why I was considering the VIP tix is because the seating at the show that I want to go to (on our anniversary) is somewhat limited.

They don't have seating in the good sections (ie: in the front) next to each other. Just random single seats here and there. The only adjacent seating they have available are on the sides of the theater. (notcool)

And I wouldn't have to buy dinner because during the intermission the VIP's are ushered into some lounge where they serve food. Also, they have reserved parking for VIP tix holders.(thumb)

I was thinking a nice stroll through Central Park during the day ... then the show .... and then home for some well deserved booty!

Money spent: $405.40 (for 2 VIP tix)

.... OR ....

A nice stroll through Central Park ... lunch at the French Culinary School ... then the show (with bad seats) .... then home for some well deserved booty!

Money spent: Lunch+Parking (I'm not leaving the P5 on the street!)+$172 (2 tickets)

Opinions ? :)
