Need advice on RX8 wheels and tire size

I have a chance to get a set of the new RX8 wheels. They are chrome but I could always powdercoat black or gunmetal or whatever...anyway they are mounted with brand new tires, fronts are 225/40/18, rears are Nitto street legal drag radials 235/40/18 . I believe they are 18 x 8 with a 48mm offset? I would probably exchange the Nittos to match the fronts but looks like a good deal. They are asking $650

My 5 suspension is stock. Does anyone see any issue, mostly with the 225 tire size as I know the wheels are correct 5x114.3

Hey bro I can't say for sure they will fit but there's a thread in here where he shows all fitment options. I don't know how to copy the link with my phone. Hopefully someone else can't point u in the right direction.

Yeah I think I've seen that thread. I just don't recall seeing a 235 tire anywhere. I'm pretty sure they will and like I said I can just exchange the 235 for a 225. I'll look further though, just haven't had time this evening. Thanks man.

I'm still not sure I want them though, I like the 5 spoke RX8 wheels better but this seems like a great deal.

It a good deal if you keep the tires they come with. But if not then your just going to spend more money on diff tires when you can find the exact wheels you want with a tire package brand new for about $1000. I've got the same prob right now I found some used wheels I like but tires are trashed. So at the end I'd be pay the same amount for new wheel/tire package from Victoria wheel & tire.com. check em out they have some good deals there
