Need advice: Exhaust and Intake

To be honest, I just wanted a small pickup in sound but didn't want to spend the money for a full catback so I went with the Mazda MSP axleback for $165 shipped brand new, it's worth it.

Matt...I'm guessing you bought the P5 sport axle back from Mazda at that price and new? It is different from the MSP specific axle backs. IIRC the P5 specific muffler was supplied by Bosal whereas the MSP axle backs were supplied by Racing Beat.

I'm talking about the P5 "sport" axleback. It still has a Mazdaspeed logo etched into the tip though.

Yup, that's the one I was thinking of. I have the 03.5 MSP axleback and love it. I even bought it already shortened to fit the P5 so win-win.

Thanks for the info on the ecu Lewis7789. So I'm guessing when the intake comes, it would also be a good idea to give the EGR a good cleaning. Haven't got around to cleaning it yet.
