Hey there, Phil!
Hope you'll also check out some of the threads about MidWest Mazdas....our new club. We've got 10-12 members so far, and would love more.
We just had our first official meet last Saturday....had a good time.
AUgust get-together looks like a Paintball outing down at CedarCreek--the place is called Mad Cow Paintball.
This fall we'll have a scenic drive through the Loess Hills...more info to come on that one....it would be great to have lots of Mazdas "along for the ride".
I'm reading up a bit on the MWM club. I've never been an active member of a local car club really - I'm kind of an honorary member in the RX-8 guys club right now, but its only 4 or 5 guys, and they haven't come to terms on club dues yet....

They're generally busy guys too so it's been challenging even organizing the lunch meets. I've only made it out to one so far.
I'll be keeping an eye out for your guys' events as they come. Pics from the July 10th meet looked pretty good - all P5s, eh? I read through this thread and was a little surprised, I figured everyone would be at least as young as I (23).
Dunno about the paintball...we'll see.

You guys having any more little lunch meetings or anything soon? I could throw the RX-8s an invite when I see meetings/etc for some well-rounded zoom zoom, if you'd like. Weekend and after work stuff may be tricky for me to attend regularly....somehow all the freetime I envisioned myself having after graduating just hasn't fallen into place. I blame hockey (I just started playing this summer), and the new gf
I'm also not the biggest car guy around. Don't get me wrong - I enjoy cars more than your average joe, but I'm also primarily a function-over-form guy. While I enjoy cool, expensive cars, or modded-out beasts, if you can't tell from my photo album, I don't do a whole lot of modding on my own cars. Something like a project car would be cool in my mind, but I can't justify spending much money on souping up my daily driver, etc.
So I might not be the most interesting guy at a meet, but I'd still like to hang around with some local owners if I can get the chance
