navigation won't accept address or POI

Hi,

I've got a 2006 touring with Nav and it stopped allowing me to input an address or POI. The map still works, and I can use my home function or my previous locations, but cannot enter a new one. Any thoughts? Tried taking out the DVD and cleaning it but no use.

maybe the memory is full, how many destinations do you have stored. Try deleting some stuff.

Thanks, I'll try that, but we only have two or three stored.

Go through all the settings and make sure something didn't change itself. I also have an 06 touring w/navi and one day the settings changed itself to avoid all major highways... it was wierd.

Thanks, I'll look at that as well. I started it this morning and it works fine so the problem is, unfortunately, intermittent.

and then when I tried it again after driving to a store it didn't work. Sigh.

Isn't that what is supposed to happen only while the vehicle is moving?

I am not familiar with the Mazda Nav, but it almost sounds like the safety lock is activated?
