Hey all,
My mother has a 2008 CX-9. The car has been great all these years. The lease is up in a couple months and she will be getting a 2011 CX-9 to replace it because she loves the car so much. However.....there is one problem that I cant seem to fix or make sense of.
When we bought the car the navigation was working without a problem. For her purposes it was great and we had no issues. Then a little over a year ago the navigation just suddenly stopped working all together. It just says "Please insert correct map disk" and then it repeats underneath in what I can only guess is Chinese. We have never taken the disk out (up until a few days ago I couldn't even figure out where it was). The disk looks clean, no smudges or scratches.
This is the twist...I made her take it to the dealership on Monday and they said that it was the wrong disk that was in the drive. This makes no sense to me since it's the same disk that has always been in there. They said it was the setup disk and not the actual map disk....personally I think they are full of $hit. Is there such a thing as a setup disk though or is this dealership just not wanting to fix whatever the real issue is??
TIA,
Chase
