Navigation controller found on EU Mazda CX-5

I had installed the commander switch into my 2013 CX-5, unfortunately it not communicating with the audio unit. The Diagnostic Assist Function(DTF) page 15 still showing NG in the commander status. The gesture of the commander could be detect by the DTF page 14 Rotary Encoder page, and page 88 Check SW Status page. Seem likes there is 'something' prohibits the audio head communicates with the commander. No clue....

The commander switch is still not working... May be the firmware of the head unit not supporting this. I post a picture of the firmware version shown, are we having the same version? Any picture from the EU country owner? Any chance to show your firmware version?

I guess you can check if the central controller (commander in the following pict) is recognized/working in the Failure Analysis 14 & 15 :

Hi Brouno, the commander's gesture are all detected in the page 14 and 88, but in the page 15, it shows NG, and the commander is not recognized. A complete software update will help I guess.

Hi Brouno, I'm bringing back the old topic. From your picture, you are having the 2014-up model, The USB port is connected to the Bluetooth module. Unlike the 2013 model where our USB is connected directly to the head unit, I think this is the reason why you don't see the USB software numbers but it is still functioning. There is another tread in this forum discussing about the USB is not resuming playback in 2014 model, how is yours in the UK?
Coming back to the Commander switch functionality, I got an email replied from the audio head manufacturer, saying that they are only manufacturing the head unit for Mazda, Any question about the features and technical support should go back to the Mazda, and nothing much they could help me to swap the UK firmware into my head unit.
I think the last option is to get a head unit from EU country, which online stores in the UK are selling at nearly USD1800!!
Any better price shop?? From the UK members here?

The 2013 version USB is not directly connected to the hu. In someway it passes through the Bluetooth module.
I just removed the OEM radio and replaced by an aftermarket. I plugged a metra kit cable to retain the USB and no data/nor power to the armrest USB.
So finally I deducted that...as the BT module is no longer connected to can bus no data/power passes through usb

Hi bro, what is the green socket slot? Is that for our USB socket on armrest? Thanks

After installed the Commander Switch for months, replaced a head unit that supports the Commander Switch...
Commander Switch, Bluetooth Phone and Music, USB, Steering Switch, Back up Camera, Tom Tom Navigation, everything works....
I have to connect a wire to remote turn on the Bose amp, since the HU I got is a base unit that not support premium Bose system, and also since then I need a line output converter to convert the speaker out to RCA out.
This newly installed base HU isn't sound as good as the stock HU, perhaps an active line output converter ( I had put in a passive LOC ) would improve sound quality.
