Navigation controller found on EU Mazda CX-5

I just looked through the wiring diagrams for the 2014 MZ6 and CX-5 and can confirm we are missing the wire with the plug that is needed for the Multimedia switch to work. I fear that this will not be easy or inexpensive to do. Unless someone else has another idea, I think we are out of luck on this one.

The part number for the Commander Switch is GKL1-66-CM0B. Mazdaparts.org quoted me 296.17 for it. Mazmart is sourcing the PN and price of the upper panel area. Lastly, reading the wiring guide (anyone willing to help would be great) to figure out where the cable goes.

Can't wait to know if this will work for us in North America.

I am also keeping my fingers crossed. Mazmart is supposed to call me tomorrow about the upper panel. The only other thing I am in need of is the UK service manual for the CX-5. I want to see the wiring to make sure it can be done. So if any of you know where to get it like the link I posted for the NA one, please let me know.

Are there any open plugs on the back of the navi unit? Might be just a plug that goes direct from head unit to controller. (sort of like an add-on CD changer plug)

Worse case is that it has to be cables off the main head unit harness.

No clue, I have not found a picture of the back of the unit, last resort is to pull my screen out....

I got a better price for the commander switch from Mazmart, PM if you want to know. I talked to them today and he is still waiting on the reply for the part and price. Sit tight, I am looking at the wiring manual in the MZ6 closely to figure out what is needed, any help is appreciated.

PM's sent.. Was looking around the diagnostic area using the 5.8 screen and happened upon these two items

and

The part upper panel will have to be sourced from Peru, they have the LHD model needed for the part to work on our cars.

Well O looks like a hot wire providing power while P and A are data transfer for the controls itself.

Sorry, didn't click the link.

Hmm, looks different even though there is the same number of 0920-510. The BR and Y are shielded with connection to ground in the PDF, while the IMG you posted have no ground for the OPA... The listed colors of wires are different too.

Do you think the picture posted is just the condensed version of the cables while the pdf is the entire set of them?

The first schematic is labeled 0920-5A. The first page on the link is labeled 0920-5B on the top right of the page. It appears to be a continuation of the first page. I believe if you check, the plug for the commander (0920-510, labeled "Commander Switch") the wire colors (inside the boxes representing plug locations) match the wire colors. The two pages fit together to show the complete picture. The "S" shaped lines mean continuation of the switch, audio unit, whatever.
