I reported previously that my 2014 GT with Tech pkg had a problem with the GPS - it did not work. When I pressed the NAV button nothing happened. Everything else is working however. Took i to the dealer on Saturday so they could check it out Monday and they tell me they have made no progress. from experience, the techs at this dealer are not the greatest - but can it be that hard to figure out??? I called Tom Tom and they think it might be something as simple as a bad connection from the card reader to the head unit. Very frustrating. My loaner is a CX 9 tank that is about as much fun to drive as a pick up truck.

I bought my 2013 CX-5 AWD GT w/ Tech Package in May of 2012. My advice: get comfortable, and start keeping records: http://www.cxfail.com/2013/10/another-mazda-service-department.html

I had the exact same problem. Easy to solve

I had the exact same problem a few months ago. Hitting the Nav button did nothing. The folks at TomTom suggested reinstalling the Nav software, but they couldn't provide a copy which was pretty stupid. Anyway, I posted on the TomTom forums for help and someone gave me the link to where I could get the latest software. Put it on the SD card and started up the car which started the upgrade process on the Nav. After a few minutes it was updated and I haven't had a problem with it since. I suggest you try the same or have the dealer do it. Not sure why they haven't tried that to be honest.
