Nasty KR with AC on?

Sorry, this is my first "summer" with the car.

I'm kind of not surprised by it but wanted to see if it's "normal" to get lots of lower end KR in stop & go traffic with the AC on? Usually in the 2 to 3.5 range, but it's not really the severity of it just the frequency.

What are you using to read knock retard? Are you getting these from a DashHawk at WOT?

Yeah, the DashHawk is alert me on anything above 2.5. Dunno about WOT since I don't do it very often, I get them just easing forward in traffic.

Just thought I'd do my own follow up, seems like it might have been related to gasoline I was using. I had been using stuff I got at the grocery store for a long time, seemed to work fine. Then I changed to Shell and now that I think about it that's when the car just seemed to get KR alerts a lot more and a lot easier. Switched back to the grocery store gas and things seem to be back to normal, I actually have trouble getting KR to happen again.... which make me very happy.

So, if you're getting a lot KR for what appears to be no reason maybe you should try different brands of gas.
