'07 Mazdaspeed 3
Hey everyone, I am trying to get a list of some, if not all of the MazdaSpeeders in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area. I live in Smyrna and drive an 07 True Red Mazdaspeed 3 and have only seen a couple in the area, but would love to bring more and more together. There is a large import scene in Nashville that meets on saturday nights around 10pm. (used to meet at LP Field, but has moved to 100 Oaks mall area). So far, I have been the only MS3 in a large group of evo's, 350's, subies....and the list goes on). My car is currently under construction with a long list of mods and could really use some advice and help too!
Feel free to find me either on here, or on yahoo at: suzhaybus
Hope to hear from you guys soon!

I thought we were run out of the oaks now? I haven't gone up there in about 4 weeks so I'm out of the loop so to speak. I don't have a speed 3, but I do have a 3 and it's a hatch, lol. I think I've seen yours before, unless there are more red speeds in smyrna then yours. Hope to see you at some of our Mazda meets. We have them in the boro. Feel free to call me if you want as well, just PM for phone number. I live on the outskirts of the boro close to smyrna.

Awesome! your car looks hot man!
Last time i went to the oaks, the cops came right after i left and ran them off cause of some idiots showing off with burnouts and stuff. I havent driven mine in about two months due to the mods im doing. should be ready in a little over a month. (know anyone good with gauges and electrical?). I am pretty certain that I am the only red speed 3 in the area, so it was probably me. I live off of almaville rd. sound close?

OH yeah...you MUST tell me where you got that mafia decal!! i have tried to find them but cant find one with the mazda3 on it.

Actually a friend of mine and I put in my gauges. I'll take a pic tonight after work and show you what mine look like. I only have oil temp, oil press and volt since I don't have a turbo yet. Took us about two hours, but most of that was BSing around as that is what we do when working on our cars, lol.

The wagon mafia decal can be found on the mazda 3 fourms site. Just use that without spaces. I'd link you but this site doesn't like that site and blocks links to it. Just go to multimeda and it sould be on the first thread. Or if you want we can do your joining requirements sometime. It's fun, trust me, lol.

Lol

yeah, ive read about the joining requirements. Ive just had problems finding the decal with the mazda3 on it. Id love to do it. lol
I have oil pressure, boost, and wideband gauges. I had performance concepts weld my bung in my downpipe last week, so now i just need to figure out how to install the oil pressure gauge. May need to get you guys over and talk s*** over a beer while we get mine done! I also have to instal my cp-e standback and meth kit then ill be done and ready to run the evo's out....(well, mostly except for one that i know of and i dont think anyone can run him off). Keep in touch brother! Im out to do some last minute shopping.

Awesome. You may need to do the oil filter conversion to get the pressure to work, at least I did and another friend of mine for AL who has a speed 3. Pretty much it gets rid of that gay cartraige filter with a traditional spin on one. He used the filter housing off of a Tribute (as it had the cooling line running through it). I'll get with him to see what exactly was needed and how to do it on a speed 3. As for my wiring friend, he's booked till after New Year, but we're always happy to help. If you need a garage, mines always open. We do most of our own work. I live off of Florance off old Nashville so it's close to you.

saweet

well, i would love to get together to get my car running again! I have all of the parts (except for the oil conversion kit). The gauges and standback just need to be done, then wait for my new manifold to get in so i can bolt it up with my new turbo and new fuel pump. That would be cool if you could find out exactly how that oil pressure gauge was hooked up! I have done everything myself so far too. The problem with getting my car to your garage is: my car cant be started now because the motor is missing a few key components. lol However, I have plenty of tools in my garage, so maybe one weekend, i can have you and your buds over to wake my beast up. And as far as the wagon mafia...what exactly was required again? I remember reading about it and was cracking up...cant wait to get my hands on one, so just let me know.

For the wagon mafia, all you need to do is tag a dirty 3 sedan with wagon mafia and your forum user name. It must be done on either the rear window or that black plastic valence on the lower rear bumper. No paint, we don't want any damage to the car. Then post it up on that site as proof of your 'hit'.

I could forsee your car not running as a set back on bringing it over, lol. I'm sure if I have something we could use over at your place I can pack it up and bring it over. Only thing I could think of is my air compressor as many people don't have one.

Here's my current gauge set up that we did. I'm getting ready to move them into that center section of the dash as soon as my buddy gets me a single din dash piece in exchange for the autometer guages I have that he wants.

06 MS 6 here, glad to meet another Speeder.

When I read the subject of this post I thought it was going to be about TICKETS........1 in the last year here.(headshake

sweet!

hey klip, where did you get your valve cover chromed? I have to take mine off to get my new manifold on so i was looking to find a place to chrome it in the process. What did it cost and what was the turn around time?

Autohouse, on antioch pike, next to Sam's warehouse. It was over a year ago, I think they charged me 175.00 and it took a week.

I see Dugger 8 is taking good care of you, its his way. He's a good guy, he could bathe more often but other than that..................... ;-)

Lmao!

well, i definetely dont want to intrude on your lovers quarrell. LOL
dugger has been cool! If i could just get him over to my garage to help me figure out all of this wiring s***! Mechanically, im fine. just not crazy about the electrical stuff. I am playing hookie from work today to see if i can get any of this done on the car today. only a few more weeks until my manifold gets done, so i have to get motivated! Hit me up guys! would love some help so i can get back on the street!

I'll see if my friend has some free time on this upcoming weekend and we can come over and take a peek. When I see what the plan is I can go from there to help get you the info you need.

Klip, that engine you bought from the dealer, will that fit in my car? I'm thinking it will since it's the 2.3L but wasn't sure if there is a design difference since the Speed 6 is AWD. Concern is for transmission mounting only. I'm planning my turbo build and trying to devise a plan.

whats up dugger! I spent a few hours yesterday extending the wires on my cp-e standback so i can mount it in my glove box. Now i just need to find time and nerve to cut into the factory wiring harness. lol Also ran the boost hose to the gauge. just need to find where to power and ground the gauges and wait for my oil filter conversion kit to get here. we definetely need to find some time to get together and wrap this thing up! If only that damn manifold would hurry up and get here! (still trying to decide if i should jet hot it before i install it or not)

I did a wire tap into the cig lighter for the ones I have now. Will probably do the same for when I boost and get the other gauges. My friend is coming over tomorrow for me to debadge his car. I'll see when he's free on a weekend to come over.

As far as the stock harness for your ECU, could you not tap the lines or just run a bypass maybe? I've got an idea but would need to see the wires first to see if it would work.

Dugger, much to my surprize, the salvage value of this engine is lower than I thought. Rather than sell it outright, I decided to hold the engine for the time being. I too am toying with the idea of building it as more aftermarket parts become available.(rockon)

I was just curious if it would work. If those engines work then it opens up my searching field for when I'm ready. Sorry if it sounded like I wanted to snatch if from you, lol.
