Nankang NS-1.....

Anybody have any idea how these things rate....not much on google.

I'm looking at a wheel/tire package and these are the included tires.

From what I've found they seem good for a summer or two.... the above link makes me a little more at ease running these.

try sumitomo... a friend of mine ran them on his 1.8t gti for at least 2 summers and there was still plenty of tread life left. they were priced around the same.... (his gti was slightly modded as well and he deffinatly didn't baby it)

In a word, Nankang are s***. They are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to entry level performance tires. The reason the wheel/tire packages are as cheap as they are, is largely due to the crappy tires. There are much better alternatives that won't break the bank. However if you are on a budget, roll with them for a year and save up for a better tire.

I just wanted to make sure these were at least no worse than the stock rubber. Unfortunately these are the only tire option available for the tire/wheel package.

I said good....not great.
