Ok so starting from the front of the car on the intake (pr5 2.0L)

We have the IAT sensor....

The MAF....

There is a sensor past the MAF that I have no idea what it is. It's mounted into the intake pipe with a little bracket. Getting ready to install a CAI, but I need to know what this sensor is. Help pLease

Do you mean "into" or "onto"?

There are only 3 things attached to the intake before the throttle body which are actually for the intake. The MAF, the temperature, and the breather hose.
I believe the thing you're talking about is just something attached to the intake, but has nothing to do with it. I forget what it is, but if you're putting a CAI on, all you have to do is relocate that bracket to somewhere else or just leave it hanging.

yep, purge solenoid!
Yeah, you can move it. The Injen CAI I bought came with some brackets so you could relocate that to one of these 2 big bolts that sit about center, right below/behind the strut brace

dont break it!!!!!!!
What he said!! I broke the lower fitting on mine and was able to drive it (if it was the top one, or both, forget it), but you'll pay at least $52 for a new one (on-line) or $90-ish at the dealer. Your best bet is to take an open-end or adjustable wrench and fit it over the sides of the valve (cased in metal) to hold it steady while you loosen the nut on the back. That sucker is on there tight and the mount for it has just enough give to make it difficult. DO NOT APPLY ANY PRESSURE WHATSOEVER TO THE HOSE FITTINGS. THESE BREAK FAIRLY EASILY.
