Re: ping

now my car runs bad on regular....detonation is a ping...too little fuel for the air....better mileage and hp with higher octane and it cleans my injectors win-win right...it also works in the other way too much fuel/octane too little air and u have detonation too...no detonation for me at 93 but 100 probably would

I see...I thought regular had all those additives to clean your fuel injections too, but oh well

Tonka - I live in Canada and lately we have been having a mild spring around 50-60 degrees. It must be the temperature difference.

guys, be a family, be encouraging, Sometimes things happen that's hard to understand when you're not there, I understand where you all are coming from but please don't fight about it. Chill and clam down.

I am not going to take side on this one cuz it's no need to, just chill. Let it go everyone. It's Friday, don't start your weekend here with a fight, please??? :D
Yes, yes!!! This thread is just getting way out of hand for no reason. The guy started backing down on the attitude but people just keep pounding. Remember this is a written forum, sarcasm and other things like that don't carry through when you type.

If you have a question don't wrap unecessary crap around it that pokes at someone's car or person for no reason. Jeez:rolleyes:

Got that, Jacka$$es:D

Ok so you HAVE dyno'd your automatic vehicle and it has a peak HP of 116HP due to THREE performance modifications:

Drop in filter
Custom catback exhaust
Underdrive pulley

Why did you mention in your other posts that you must be making over 130WHP, if you already dyno'd your car beforehand? (uhm)

And, back to the origin of this thread ... How does a hatch-wagon expending 116WHP maintain a steady distance on a porsche boxter (lighter and more powerful)?

Don't mind me ... just trying to separate fact from fiction. :D

Andrew you left one thing behind... "reality" Like I said sometimes things happen it's really hard to understand and explain unless you're there....

I personally agree that a P5 can't be faster than a Boxster, but whatever happened there happened, could be because of a lot of reasons but his P5 is ahead of the Boxster. Oh well....

Oh yes the Boxster 2003 has 225hp/192lb-ft torque and the Boxster S has 258hp/229lb-ft torque, who knows about there whp?... anyone?

he wants to be where I am...hahahahah

i actually have extended family in phoenix... but i can't make it up too often. i've been here for 10 months and want to get the hell out of hell... i mean dodge... i mean tucson. i miss my old stomping grounds by the beach. i know only a few asian kids, but i'm too busy to really know them. and it's summer now, so it's too damn hot to go out in the daytime. so i sit at home and wait for class to start. let's run up mount lemmon. it's too hot everywhere else, and prescott is too damn far for me.

anyway, if we're gonna be thread jacking, let's do it the right way!

While we're on the subject of threadjacking ...

Hey Mopiko,

Know of any good twisties in our area ? (I live in East Brunswick, pretty much only 22 potholes away from you ;) )

1997 Boxster, 102hp/181lb-ft of torque 2.5L H6

Andrew, REALLY??? COOL!!! my favoirate is Washingston Rock Road (Rt.529) in Greenbrook, followed a Miata once there very difficult but challenging.

Basically if you go Rt.22 in Greenbrook area take left and go up the hill there are several that's not bad and fun. If you want to stay in East Brunswick area I know Ryders Lane is under construction and majorities of roads in NJ are full of potholes so avoiding them is a twisties itself! :D
