my mx3 rpms bounce all the time at 2000 i have changed all sensor map max air tps and set the timing back to base timin and reset the distributer timing but the problem still is here can you help

When you replaced the tps did you set it as well? I agree about the vacuum leak but improperly set tps can cause this as well.

dont forget about the egr valve, this will cause a rough ideal and performance issues im not sure if the mx3 has the same timing set at the mx6 ( 12 degree ignition timing) i messed with mine for days trying to figure out why it wouldnt go in, then i stupidly realized the sticker that said 12 degree ignition timing.... after that small adjustment, cranked right up and runs smooth now.
