My woman bought a 08 3, weird noise?

I'm pretty experienced with cars but I can't really identify a odd noise I think her car is making. The car just had the head gasket and head machine work done 1000 miles ago I have all the receipts. Car runs fine. The weird noise is when she starts it. Not really a loud noise but sounds like something kinda grinds. Like a flywheel or a starter? Maybe if I recorded it but I just didn't know if it was weird. I have a boosted p5 btw just don't post much, anyways if any hints, that'd be great!

How many miles are on it? Is the noise only when she turns the key & stops when she releases the key?
