Welcome OCC (hi) and Props on a the 6! I really like what you've done so far (thumb)

Don't mind forcefed...He may not realize that trolling is a sure way to get BANNED FOR LIFE from Mazda Forums. I've cleaned up the thread a bit...Let's keep it On Topic. Thanks!

On Topic

If there is one more post that is off topic this thread is going to get closed. If you have something to say about the SHOW CAR SPEED6 then post it. Is you want to start a thread on a new topic please do but this one is about a Mazdaspeed6 that has more trick parts then any other Mazdaspeed6 that I have ever seen.

Back on track. Occschemguy this thing is vary nice but I also must know why you toke the shroud away from the tmic. That does promote air flow through the core. Are there plans for a fmic in the feature that I smell.

Occschemguy, I can't believe no one has asked you this but I noticed you had JET recal your CPU. Was that a one-off specifically for you and your MS6 or does JET offer this recal for all MS6's? If you search these forums you will find A LOT of topics regarding CPU recalibrations and, beside XEDE, I don't see anyone else doing this!
I'm sure everyone here that have MS6's would be interested...Let us know.
I used JET "chips" on my '88 IROC and, just recently, my '98 Durango and liked what they did to the powerband of the cars. I think if JET has a "plug and play" type of module for MS6's it would sell.

JET plug and play modules are basically the ebay chips in better packaging.

regarding jet i had to take my cpu out of the car and down to them in hunington bch. and they busted in to it and hacked internals i dont know exatly how but at the time i only had the intake and after hack it was incridible diffrence i think mostly because boost is turned up it spikes at 23 and settles at about 18 and it used to spike at 17.5 and settle at 15.it cost me $400,In regards to shroud it shows better with out for the most part and i dont notice a diffrence in performance i was going to do a front mount but i am considering upgraded top mount.

Nice car.

So why the JDM rx8 diff? Whats different with it?
And why the JDM 6 tranny and center diff? Whats different with them?

hmm i'd like to see this jet mod...to my knowledge the mazda ecu is unhackable by standard "open up the case" conventions....I also didn't know jet chips did internal modifications to ecus...I was under the impression they only did the plug in chip...I know of only 2 companies world wide that have been able to reverse engineer the ecu program...not calling you a liar by any means, I'm just curious how they went about doing it...removing the fuel cut limiter is by no means an easy task(stock its 18 and since you're pushing 23 I'm assuming they removed it).

Tastefully done and not over the top. The painted stock wheels are very nice and look alot better than many aftermarket wheels that I have seen on MS6. (first)

I agree. I had considered this approach for wheels rather than buying new rims and it has turned out nicely on your ride. I may have to give it a go in the spring.

Nutari has done a lot of good stuff for this forum, but despite what he posted earlier, it looks like CP-E will have a front-mount ready shortly. Of course, they've been saying that for awhile, but this time I think they're serious. If they don't, you ought to go for the Autoexe. You've spent enough money on this thing already, so the price shouldn't be an issue for a very sharp-looking top-mount. BTW, are you laundering drug money or something? JOKING, JUST JOKING! Very nice looking car with a lot of great mods.

Ditto. The Mazda 6 PCM/TCM is a tough nut to crack. A lot of things in the car, even the most mundane, are controlled by the code. So much so, that if you fart you get a CEL instantly. I'm joking but it's that sensitive from my experience. What makes it even worse is that the code contains so much "junk" that gets in the way of reverse-engineering it. Nevermind that the ECU works on a CAN protocol that not everyone is proficient at working with. Again, not calling the guy out but if JET did indeed overcome these obstacles to come up with a tuning solution (piggyback or standalone) then kudos to them. I just need to know what else they're capable of doing. Timing? AF tune? Top speed limiter? Electronic throttle control? Us "go" guys need to know this.

ya they do alot of stuff out of there h.b headquarters including fuel injection systems and so on.but if u guys are really considering an ecu upgrade id go this route now that its out a programmer by cobb i found it at sema.

if i would of known this is what i would have done u can get the programer and tune it the way u want

the rx8 jdm diff is stronger and is rated for 410 horse power and the jdm tranny is what the car was disigned to have its higher geared so they lowered gearing for the us market it highers top speed but lowers accacelation taking car from 155 top speed to around 180 mph the stock trany would red line at 155 mph and the jdm trany at 155 is only around 4000 rpm.

the whole idea of my build is to make a 4 door supercar u might say, so the things i do are generally in that deriction for the most part. i eventually ant to get car to around 400 horses wich should give me a 0-60 around 4 seconds and with tranny a top speed of 180 so it will have comparable performance to a gallardo,911 turbo and so on.

Septuple post ftw...lol :D Why is the forum moving soooo slow.

BTW, I hope to see your car complete. Sounds like its going to be a good build.

Not to knock it or come off bad. I am not here to offend but i dont think show car when i see it. I think a little more and maybe I would believe that. From a judging standpoint, you have no audio setup, and your running on stock rims. A FMIC is possible because there is a speed6 in the same parking garage i park in for work with one. if its worthless, no biggie, but it does add to the show effect. Its about as worthless as a body kit i guess. Either way there is alot missing. How about custom seats, gauges, navi, tv's, lambo door, custom paint, carbon fiber hood, trunk, fenders etc etc. Now some things arent out yet for the speed6, but personally i dont see a show car. I see a nice looking car.
