Sits higher in the back than stock springs for now at least. They have to get warn down a bit. The fronts are awesome. The rear springs are a little tooo plush... But in the end the drop looks sick! Installation time was about 3 hours.

3 hour install ... you do it yourself at home? How hard was it? Need any special tools?

I'm thinkin about gettin Spool springs, too.

Looks great.

I don't think spools are in stock. I did it at home, with basic tools except I rented a spring compressor for $6 becuase you definatly need this to take off and put springs on the shock. On a difficulty level of 1-5 I would give it a 3.5

Can you hook me up with a side shot that isn't so low to the ground?? I was looking into getting the Spool's and I want to make sure it's gonna be low enough for me...
Oh yeah... what do you think of the ride so far??

I am curious as to why it would sit higher in the back than the stock springs. That doesn't seem right. Are you sure they are in right? When I had them put on my P5, the car was instantly lower all around by about 1.25-1.5" it settled to around 2" If the intial drop is 1.25" and the Mazdaspeed is already lowered about .75" that means that your car should still be about 1/2-3/4" lower just from adding the springs.

well the spool rear springs are actually ALOT larger than stock springs so they give a more plush ride in back. I think they will lower over time but for now they are higher. Ask Terry he will probley tell you the same thing I did.

Ummmm yeah I think something may be wrong with what you got. The Spools aren't that much bigger than stock. Maybe bigger around but not taller. Are you SURE they are installed correctly. Seriously it should not sit any higher than stock..... Period. if it does then something is wrong. I don't care what car it is on. And wether they are settled or not they are lowering springs and as the other guy said above it instantly lowered my car at least 1.5" all the way around. I would recheck them bad boys if I was you.

Trust me. Out of the box I compared the two rear springs. The 2 rear spool springs are LARGER than the stock rear springs. So obviously they might be lower but put up a way more cushioned ride.

More pics please... We should meet up so we can take side by side comparison pictures with my stock springs!

I'm not trying to imply(sp?) anything by this, But a friend of mine bought some springs a while back, and he got two sets of front springs on accident. The front lowered, but the rear actually raised due to the increased spring rate needed for the motor. make sense?? since there was no engine in the back of the car, there was nothing to put pressure on those springs to keep them lowered. It looked hella funny. It looked like he had airbags...
