My Protege Sounds like a Subbie?! Opinion?

I was told by a couple of my buddies that by them standing outside of it and me driving it that it sounds like a subbie. So I dl'd a video of a subbie and recorded my protege and put them together. This was after I got my new muffler. I didn't hit limiter due to me being in an public area. If you would just skip the beginning where i talk about how I did it.

it doesn't sound like a fart can that's for sure, sounds decent. I wouldn't compare it to a wrx though, the unique header design in those motors allow them to have a very unique sound.

u know what man ive always said that the msp's sound a lil bit like an sti. im runnin 2 1/2 up to the mid's and the rest 3 inch steed's manifold as well. yours sounds more like an sti. all u need is that good old turbo spool

Thanks haha. Im probably gonna boost it over summer. Just need to finish school first. But I'm thinking of running a CAI for the throaty sound.

Sounds nice. Ive been wanting to get an exhaust for my car but dont want to get a fart cannon. I want something that sounds nice and deep. I like how yours sound so might get it like yours. Where did you get it?

I got it off of craigslist for 30 bucks. You can get it from advanced auto parts for 70 bucks. I've had the muffler on for about a month now. It still has the deep growling sound just with less backfire. All I have is a 1 3/4 exhaust pipe with the DC sport Muffler on if you were wondering.
