Well I worked on getting the turbo installed this weekend. I didn't get it installed but I made progress. I had some problems that I'm getting worked out right now. But here are some pics of my intercooler mounted with the tubing for it.

I'm having a problem with the intercooler sticking too far through the bottom of my car. Is this where you other guys have your intercooler mounted. I just drilled holes in my bumper and mounted it to the bottom of it as you can see in the picture. Let me know how all you other turbo guys did it, especially you spoolin. I know you have a large intercooler in the front. Did you mount it to the front of the metal bumper or under it like mine?

that's an awesome intercooler... it's so big...

I can't wait to piece mine together... pics liek these bring shivers to my spine... ;)

That's what all the ladies tell me.:p As for the intercooler, it's really not that big. It is the perfect size for this car though. I've seen huge intercoolers for cars such as the eclipse and the WRX.

As you can see, my intercooler is installed at the same place but mine is longer but less wide. It is 27" long by 6" wide by 3 1/2" thick.

Your's look a bit to wide. What is the size of your intercooler? Maybe you can find a shop who can cut it. Anyway, the bottom part will be lower than the bumper. I know that Extreme Machine can cut it and weld it. So if you can find a shop near you that can do the job, it's a kind of simple job to do if you have the right tools.

The other solution which alow you to get more intercooler surface, is to cut a part of the metal bumper (on the wide side)and strengthen it by welding some reinforcement. We figure this solution a some point in my setup but I prefered to cut the intercooler to 6" and keep the bumper like it is.

I don't think there's any other solution to your problem.

If you look closely, I think it's saying something...

"Feed me AIR...NOW!"..."Civic...get in my belly"

lol...it's coming along quite well I must say...can't wait to see more pics!

if you are worried about it getting hit by stuff, get the autoexe style front lip spoiler. maybe that would cover it up?

get the autoexe style front lip spoiler.
Yeah, I've saw that the Autoexe replica made by DG Motorsports will cover it up. The only thing that sucks is the the airflow will be block a little. Oh well, I guess the nitrous spray will solve that.;)
