My poor MP3 is falling apart...

I have to replace both rear end links, shopping AWR for those right now, since the stock ones sheared and 1 snapped off of the sway bar the other is attached to the sway bar not the strut. The front bumber has been ripped off the car completely and I'll have to fiberglass that and repair the torn bolt holes. Oh and not last I'm picking up a new caliper w/bracket and rotor today since one of the pistons locked up and gouged a massive rut in the rotor. I'm not so sure I like this car so much any more. Oh well(smash)

it's a 6 year old car... stuff breaks

repair it and gte it back on the road!

good to hear, mine gives me problems from time to time but i abuse her often so it's ok i guess (wrc) (burnout) (drive2)

These things have issues with the rear sway bar bushings.

It seems like its an ongoing battle. At least with my buddy Eriks MP3, weve done about 4 sets total. Dealership has done 2 sets of OEM, then we tried some aftermarket Poly ones, and went back to a revised OEM set that supposedly fixes the problem. They still squeak because they lose their lubrication. His sway bar actually snapped in half like yours once as well, and he had to replace both endlinks and the bar itself (fortunately it was under a warranty and he didnt have to pay).

Good luck with it though, theyre not very hard to change.

Get the AXR clunk fix bracket. It relocates the bushing mounts and also has greasable bushing fittings.

I ordered AWR's polyurethen bushings and adjustable endlinks. They still haven't showed up, but that's ok. I got the brakes fixed yesterday and the bumber is slowly being put back together hopefully it will be back on this weekend. These MP3s look fugly with broken noses(hah) . I have some epoxy and bondo work to do on it before I can reattach it. Oh yeah and I do drive the hell outta my car I'm really surprised that's all that I have to do for now. I thought AWR made headers for the MP3 or is it OBX that makes them? I'm thinking about putting some bolt on goodies on my car before I buy a 60's project car.(gossip)

Dude, boltons for an MP3 are not worth it IMO.

If you want to bolt something on, get yourself a MSP ECU, Turbo, custom FMIC, and the stuff to make your car turbo.

The engines are the exact same thing. I repeat, there IS no difference in injectors, air meters, internals, or even wiring harnes. The only difference is the ECU, and the turbo itself.

That's the direction I was leaning, Turbo, I think it's a good idea to have better exhaust flow with the increase in the intake and combustion.
Anywho, I don't have 2k right now so I'll stick to the repairs and maybe go nuts and get XM, hell yeah!!(shady)

I'm right there with you. Ordered new struts, springs, rotors, pads... replaced the battery about a week ago (hooray Optima Red Top), amongst other things that need to be handled.

I hate car maintenance. =(

I got the bumper put back on Saturday. I had a date that night and didn't want to show up with a busted up car. She liked my car so much she wanted to buy it from me(godown) . Now I'm just waiting for UPS to deliver my order from AWR.

UPS delivered the adjustable end links and the sway bar bushings, I stopped by my house during lunch and looked them over. Unfortunately, it's starting to rain as I type this, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to install them as I don't have a garage:'(
